Your media machine consisted of 50 some odd companies back in the 1980s, then Clinton deregulated the FCC and the corporate state was able to move in and monopolize the entire apparatus down to half a dozen multinational corporations so the message could be consolidated, and harmonized. We used to call that monopoly and recognize it was not good for an open democratic society.
