Oh How The Mighty Fiscal Conservatives Have Fallen

The TPM is not synonymous with fiscal conservative.
TPM?

Tea Party Movement?

Talking Points Memo (the link source)?
tea party.
Well, then, you're wrong.

The Tea (Astroturf) movement was started exclusively over fiscal conservatism. They professed to have no interest in social issues, just fiscal issues like the debt and taxes.

Doesn't TEA supposedly stand for Taxed Enough Already?

Or is that just another of their lies?

I have a solution: You let your party raise your taxes and leave ours the fuck alone.

Mkay?

That way everyone's happy.

You get the high taxes you crave and we get to sit back and watch you bellyache about how poor you are.
OK.

and when your house catches fire, put it out yourself.

and don't drive on our tax-paid roads.

and you can pay much higher fees on everything from DMV to Homeowner insurance.

and your bank deposits are no longer protected and insured against loss.

To start.

The problem is every year you lefties want more taxes, then complain you have no money. It never ends....

We've had enough of you and your B.S.

In his latest effort to plug the fiscal hole created by his mega-tax-cutting debacle Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has been reduced to drawing down Obamacare funds to balance his state's budget.

Classic! I love the Kansas experiment. Maybe it's such an obvious failure that even right wingers can see it as such. Now that I think about it, it has been a while since I saw anybody recommend cutting taxes to allow the economy to burst into overdrive.

let us know when it gets to that shining city run by Democrats for YEARS and is bankrupted

DETROIT. until then just go on hating a frikken STATE

Think of it as a cautionary tale - for idiots.

So are you going to continue to advocate tax cuts?

The TPM is not synonymous with fiscal conservative.
But they have only themselves to blame that many believe they are.

If 'true' fiscal conservatives sought to denounce the reckless, irresponsible extremism of the TPM – as has manifested in Kansas – rather than profit from it politically, perhaps the poor governance practiced by the likes of Brownback wouldn't be so commonplace.

Cutting taxes on corporations while cutting pensions on middle class people is purely hatred toward the middle class. Class warfare is alive and well- which it should be.

America needs the input of fiscal conservatives. What we should actually be rejoicing in is how far social conservatives have fallen.
Yeah, they have fallen so far that since the passage of Obamacare, they have gained over 75 seats in the US House and sent the Senate from a 60D/40 to a 55R/45D.

Not to mention contoling over 60% of State legislatures.

We need them to fail even more at this rate!

Weren't you one of those who was calling the Republican victory a loss for some reason? This seems to be more of the same to me.
Nope.

So you're saying that Brownback running to Obama for funds to save his state is a Republican victory?

No, I'm merely pointing out that most posts of this nature are silly.

I have to pay over $30k/year in property taxes alone.

What's silly about an ultra-conservative, Obama-hating teabag governor deciding to accept money from Obama's crowning legacy in order to save his state from his own disastrous policies?

No you don't. You can sell the property, or move somewhere with a lower rate.

Like Somalia.

How about we start with getting rid of the government takeover of healthcare?
Then we can move on to the elimination of the federal government's annual $1.2 trillion behavioral modification program (tax expenditures).

WOW~ So... sounds like the economy isn't doin' as well as the Left keeps telling us that it is.

How can THAT be?

I suppose that this is yet another example of socialist policies undermining the incentive of the individual to produce, and that has reduced the overall product which is being taxed... which seems pretty foolish for a system that relies upon taxation to survive.

Maybe ... and I'm just spit-ballin' here... but maybe where the system relies upon taxation, it would be wise to promote gains in that product.

Of course, I'm not 'economist', so I suppose, maybe I'm missed sumpin'.

What's silly about an ultra-conservative ...

There's no such thing as an 'ultra-conservative'. One either recognizes, respect, defends and adheres to the principles in nature that govern human behavior, or one does not.

There's no "REALLY SUPER" recognition of reality, there is only reality.

I've got a better idea ... why don't you put your thumb up your butt!!

I've been to Somalia. I'd rather you go there. You'd be dead inside a week.

Selling rental property these days takes time. Not that many around here have the money to buy it anymore ... no thanks to Obama. Those that can afford it know that any idiot that sells right now is distressed ... and won't give you much for it.

I figure once we get that Kenyan out of there .. things may start looking up in a few years.
