OPEC Announces 2 Million Barrel Per Day Production Cut

That's akin to growing a big garden, giving a lot of it away, and then starving.

You don't understand. The commodities market (which sets the price for fuel) was designed to stabilize prices. If not for the market, we would be at the mercy of fuel producers. It's difficult to explain how that's done but trust me, without the market, we may be paying $10.00 a gallon for gasoline.

As gas and diesel energies will rise the cost at the pumps the Republicans will blame the President and the Democratic Party. Keep in mind dear readers, the Republican Party will have no solutions or plans to recover and as usual cut taxes of the top earners and the oil and coal industries.
More oil production is the solution. Thanks to Brandon, production and drilling are down.

I’m sure the position of the vast majority of Republicans will be returning to a condition of energy independence.

Of course the vast majority of Democrats will oppose that.

Little Miss Scissors Me Timbers was asked today.....Since Biden took a victory lap when gas prices went down will he take responsibility for them going back up.

The Vapid One answered with "Mah War in Ukraine".

The very word responsibility is kryptonite to dems.

So yeah look for the leftists here to parrot that.

That's the typical idiotic response from the left. We are producing 11.8 million barrels of oil per day on average in 2022. In April of 2022, the United States only imported about 10.8 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products from Russia, throughout the whole month.

And the Democrats want us to believe that the increase in gas prices is because of the war in Ukraine? :laughing0301:

We had a solution in 2016, but you idiots muffed it all up. So enjoy the fruits of your stupidity:

Gasoline that rose to twice the price it was during 2018, an inflation rate that rose as high as 9.1%, which was almost 5 times higher than it was in 2019, a recession, the average middle-class family coming up about $6,000 short of disposable income, hefty taxes coming for the lower and middle class, the DOW dropping 6,700 points in only a year, causing retirement accounts to lose $3 trillion dollars, 30 year fixed mortgages rising 4.43% and median asking rent rising 79.7% in only two years, and the stock market losing $7 trillion dollars in two years. The price of oil jumping up to $130 per barrel, having to beg Saudi Arabia and Venezuela for oil while draining our own strategic reserves, sporadic shortages on the store shelves, supply line disruptions, a monumental trade imbalance with China, an exponentially- spiraling epidemic of violent crime and drugs, hundreds of migrants dying while crossing the border, more than enough fentanyl to kill everyone in the country, 4 million more illegals within only two two years, more COVID deaths than in 2020, a dishonorable withdrawal from Afghanistan that cost 13 American soldiers their lives, leaving billions of dollars worth of military equipment to the Taliban, a weakened, emasculated military, the IRS arming and training to be home invaders, using the DOJ and the FBI to harass political opponents by conducting covert raids on American citizens and confiscating personal property, Iran's nuclear program having enough nuclear material to build a bomb and conducting attacks on US citizens, a revitalized Russian oil industry, China becoming energy and militarily dominant, a war in Ukraine that has cost us billions of dollars and has killed thousands of people, and a president who is trying to incite a civil war against half the country.

You almost make a nuclear Armageddon sound appealing.

"The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its oil-exporting allies announced a 2 million barrel per day cut in oil production Wednesday, bucking months of pressure from Washington to increase production and potentially spiking gas prices again"

Get ready for more pain at the pump. This is why energy independence is important.
Not to worry. Biden can go to Saudi Arabia, attack them on their human rights record and Kahoggi killing, and then get down on his hands and knees and beg them to increase production.

Anyone claiming we cannot increase production in the US is a liar.

Hey dumb fucks…

Gee could this lead to an increase in energy costs?
So long as the administration is hostile towards the energy sector there will be no solution. You can't blame American companies for not wanting to slit their own throat. Biden owns this, and nothing he says or does can rebuild the necessary trust to get companies to produce more. Liberal trash have proven they will turn on the energy sector the second things even look to be turning around.
