No job gives lifelong security to employees despite how irresponsible, ineffective, or complete failures they are other than…..a college professor. They can spend their class time bashing Republicans instead of discussing the subject material, or focus their efforts on “social justice” instead of teaching the course content, or, well….anything.

Now, thanks to DeSantis, college professors - like employees everywhere - will have to have tenure reviewed every five years.

In related news: Professors are unhappy.

Federal judges have tenure.

It should be done yearly, nation wide.

Tenure used to foster rigorous discussion and debate on campuses and keep professors from being forced to teach partisan and other types of dogma.

The democrats taking over academia tenure simply protecst radical leftists preaching nothing but various types of dogma from LGBPRSQTUVXYZ dogma to Marxism and whatever disgusting things they can dream up.

If you're making a living off of the taxpayers the taxpayers should have a say over how you behave at work through our elected representatives.

Wait a minute.

Is that the new bar? If you aren't an expert on a subject you can't pass or sigh laws on a given subject?

The entire US Code and Codes of the fifty states will have to be thrown out tomorrow.
*Mic drop moment*

Postal employees do what the hell they want.
Politicians do what they hell they want.
Judge and lawyers do what the hell they want.
"Law enforcement" do what the hell they want.
Company CEO's do what the hell they want.

Nothing happens to them.

I actually had that in my OP, but I removed it. There’s a legitimate reason for justices not to have to sway to public opinion - rather than see that the Constitution Isn’t violated - for fear of losing their seats. It’s not the same thing as college professors.
I have to disagree. The fact that they are chosen by political agenda flies in its face. Sotomayor and Brown are two good examples.
