We don't have any kind of problem with our military. It is by far the mightiest on the planet. If the military were the sole solution on terrorism, we'd have won this thing years ago.
We can spend less on the military, more on jobs, and evolve our defense into one where we put more resources into cybersecurity, detective and undercover operations.
We keep meeting 21st century challenges with an outdated 20th century defense mechanism. It's annoying that all Republican candidates talk about is more tanks and planes and bombs. We have more than enough of all that. It's time to evolve but Republicans seem incapable of thinking outside the box today.

The $534 billion base Department of Defense spending plan is a response to sharp budget cuts in the past several years, Pentagon officials said, and is meant to help the force rebound by readiness hits caused by sequestration.
In all, Obama is asking for $585 billion for the military. That includes nearly $51 billion in war funding.
The total defense budget released Monday is the highest since 2012 but still more than $100 billion below the military budget during the peak of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The war funding is the lowest since 2002, according to the Pentagon.
The base budget, which covers military costs outside the war in Afghanistan and operations in Iraq, West Africa and other foreign nations, is a 7.7 percent increase over last year.

He sent it back because it included accounting tricks that kept the sequester limitations in place, obligated the Pentagon to continue a process that prevented needed reforms to eliminate or adjust away from wasteful spending and failed to address Guantanamo. Congress still has not made specific funding for the war against ISIS. Cost related to fighting ISIS relies on funds taken away from other DoD sources and programs. Sending the bill back to Congress may highlight the irresponsible nature of the bill and the refusal of Republicans to eliminate waste or pork projects that strap the DoD with special interest spending.The military always needs to be rebuilt. It is always a work in progress. That is why we have to most modern and most powerful military in the world. Trump is full of shit and so are the nit wits defending his insulting garbage. Want proof?
