I have seen hundreds of people go to Washington. Good people, for the most part. And nearly every one of them changed for the worse. They become corrupted as if something was in the air.

Politicians and the common cold have always existed within an economic atmosphere designed to advance the interests of their richest citizens had the expense of their majorities.

The cure is a wall of separation between private wealth and the state, something neither Republicans nor Democrats are likely to provide.
