But this doofus was released after just 8 years for home invasion murders in 2014.

Life in prison is not the deterrent or punishment it use to be. If a person is convicted of murder they get one appeal if that fails they should immediately be taken to the steps of city hall doused in gasoline and set on fire. The murder rate will drop dramatically.

Two, a murderous maniac is a danger to the people within the facility. Both the cops, the other prison staff as well as the fellow cons. Would you want your relative who is doing time in the joint for ripping a mattress tag to have Jeffrey Fucking Dahmer as his celie?

Agreed. There is no reason that this guy should get free housing, meals, healthcare. What he did isn't a crime of passion or due to mental imbalance. This asshole is a cold blooded murderer. Not only did he shoot those victims, he also made sure he finished the job and executed those victims, and then shot the daughter of one of them in the head when she posed no threat. I'm not sure if she pulled through or not.

CP IMO should be a sentence for people just like him. He doesn't deserve another day consuming resources and tax dollars.

How many major prisons have you worked at? That was just fuckin' ignorant.

Escapes are almost unheard of in Virginia prisons where the convicts are locked down/not allowed outside of the compound unless under the gun. Level 2 and above. A guy like in the OP would never go below Level 4. He's not going anywhere.

Where do you draw the line on who should be put to death and not if your concerns are financial?

I don't think financial considerations should be part of the mathematics.

What about someone who swindles a senior citizen of most of their money?
