Trump Is Right on Economics

"So Jeb Bush is finally going after Donald Trump. Over the past couple of weeks the man who was supposed to be the front-runner has made a series of attacks on the man who is. Strange to say, however, Mr. Bush hasn’t focused on what’s truly vicious and absurd — viciously absurd? — about Mr. Trump’s platform, his implicit racism and his insistence that he would somehow round up 11 million undocumented immigrants and remove them from our soil.

Instead, Mr. Bush has chosen to attack Mr. Trump as a false conservative, a proposition that is supposedly demonstrated by his deviations from current Republican economic orthodoxy: his willingness to raise taxes on the rich, his positive words about universal health care. And that tells you a lot about the dire state of the G.O.P. For the issues the Bush campaign is using to attack its unexpected nemesis are precisely the issues on which Mr. Trump happens to be right, and the Republican establishment has been proved utterly wrong...."

Krugman and Trump are correct. The wealthy deserved to be hit hard when it comes to taxes.

You want to hit the job creators!! you suk.

Just by running, Trump has created millions of blogger jobs dediated to attack him and what he says!!

The last time a poor person did that, he had to eat someones face while high on bath salts!!

This is hilarious, cons now love the evil socialist policies if they love trump.

That's interesting. I mean, Krugman on the Gop .... hardly unbiased. But the fact that Jeb, the plutocrats' plutocrat candidate for 2016, criticizing Trump for "not being the right kind of conservative" is interesting. I saw this:

There are wonks in the gop who view supply side cuts as counterproductive, but they're hardly liberals because, among other things, they view new deal and great society social programs impediments to middle class tax reform that would help address wage stagnation and the permanent underclass. Some wonks also view large numbers of low skilled immigrants hurt labor, and we need loosened immigration on high skilled workers who can help overall economic productivity. As compared to Jeb's embrace of the undocumented. A Wall? Maybe not, but we can make it a lot harder for undocumented aliens to find employers who will use them to cut wages.

Paul Ryan's sitting this one out, and probably rightly since there's no way an insider can take on the plutocrats' party. And, probably why Mitt wants a do over is it dawned on him that the only way a plutocrat's getting elected is if he (or she) runs on being a plutocrat who will fight for the middle class.

Lol Trump must be confusing the hell out of his supporters. I love it. Repubs think like robots:

"Trump insulted illegals. He should be president...wait...higher taxes on the rich. Does not compute...er...Libtard Krugman likes him...derp...system overload!" *head explodes*

Trump has been a blessing to this race lol. Democrats are sure to win in 2016.

ummm, bit early on that, imo. Trump is definitely sending shock waves through the 400 or so plutocrats who think they own the gop, lock stock barrel and candidate. But dems for years have called gop voters "stupid" for supporting tax and spend policies that don't benefit them. Perhaps they are not so stupid as much as they have decided BushII and Mitt were the lesser of evils.
