Paula Deen Vindicated

Hate to break this to you OP, but ... your plaintiff's being adjudged to have no legal standing on one aspect of a lawsuit doesn't mean "vindicated".

>> U.S. District Court Judge William T. Moore Jr. ruled Monday that Jackson, who is white, has no standing to sue them for race discrimination.

The ruling leaves intact Jackson's sexual harassment claims. << (from the article cited earlier)

The lawsuit was/is about employment conditions. This ruling basically says that Jackson cannot sue on behalf of her black workers.
That's got nothing to do with Paula Deen and doesn't address those working conditions. All that is yet to come.

Maybe you should aim just a wee bit higher than "The Blaze" for a news source ... nomsayin'?

So there are issues with her management but she's not a racist, and she's a racist anyway?

"Paula Deen was incompetent" just doesn't have the same sting does it? That's why the claims of racism had to be invented.

It really doesn't matter who invented what on this board or on muckraking websites; the issue has always been the legal case filed about employment conditions in Deen's restaurant under her brother's management. And that suit is still pending. Since none of those conditions of employment questions have been settled in court yet, there's no way to call this "Paula Deen vindicated". The ruling had nothing to do with Paula Deen.

Again -- consider the source: "The Blaze".

While I do consider the source, I looked for outside corroboration (as I always do with The Blaze). The racial element has been thrown out. So that means this isn't about Paula Deen being a racist anymore.

But go ahead and say that she's a racist again. I'm still inclined to believe it, being that she's a Democrat.

So, where is the mainstream media? Where are the vile liberals who called her every name under the sun? Where are the companies that bowed to the liberal nazis and threw her under the bus? Not a damned word from ONE of the chickens$its.

Race-Based Claims That Led to Destruction of Paula Deen?s Reputation, Career Thrown Out by Judge | TheBlaze.com

She's not "vindicated".

She's just another racist cracker who got caught lying about herself and about what she said.

If you feel so sorry for her, go eat some deep fried shit to show your solidarity.

And then, get over it and move on to showing your loving support to some other racist cracker.

(Why is this in Politics? We need a forum dedicated to racist crackers. You all could post recipes of your favorite deep fried shit.)

This is evidence of a racist^^^ Slinging racial slurs.. Libruls think they are allowed to cross any line and that the normal compass of societal decency doesn't apply top them.. WRONG. You're a racist piece of trash.. Now live with it.

Paula is a southern white lady and thus it doesn't fit the New England elitist librul's make believe world of all southerners are rednecks and racists.

BOZOs

But she wasn't done in by "New England Libruls".

She was done in by men in suits making seven figures, looking at flow charts and spreadsheets, who calculated that after the bad publicity she got, dropping her was the most cost effective route to go.

Which you guys have no problem with when they close down a factory and ruin the lives of hundreds of working folks.

But you do it to one fat cow making unhealthy foods and talking with a drawl, and you guys go hysterical.

Yet, the Dems defend Byrd. She admitted to it, the reason why she said it.

After 30 years and only one instance, I doubt she is a racist.

BTW, Byrd used the n word as late as 2009.

well thats besides the fact that she wanted to throw a party that was "southern themed" that also got her trouble as well, but lets not talk about that either.
“Well what I would really like is a bunch of little ******* to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties, you know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around,” the lawsuit claims Deen said. “Now that would be a true southern wedding, wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.”

In her deposition, which was given last month, Deen denied many of the allegations against Hiers and addressed the alleged comment about his wedding. Deen said she remembered telling Jackson and another employee about a restaurant she went to with an exclusively African-American waitstaff that she wanted to emulate, but was worried about the potential reaction. Though Deen admitted to using the phrase “really southern plantation wedding” she denied having said the N word.

So while the above quote may have been embellished by the woman suing her, Dean did state she would like that type of wedding.

if you wish to make this about 30 years ago fine, but you are leaving half the story out.

What's wrong with a themed wedding?

Is it wrong for the beards to be left out of the display at gay weddings? Is it wrong to be at the bachelor party of a high school friend but not invited to the ceremony because it's at an all black church? Is it wrong for my daughter to be shuttled to the side at a neighbor's Quinceañera because she's white?

I don't think so.

shrug....the public is quirky like that. You say ****** 30 years ago and then talk about this style of wedding, people will put two and two together.

I'm not your sweetie Petey.. go buzz the hedge elsewhere before you get burnt and have to run to the Mods for help again.. get off of my fucking radar.

Be that as it may...she's forever tarnished in society's eyes.

New Orleans still has Quadroon Balls. White women are specifically excluded as are dark women. They are still call Quadroon Balls too. That's raciss

I've never said Paula Deen was a racist. How the fuck would I know that anyway? I've never met her or even seen her show. It must be nice having an imaginary friend but you're on your own there... :dunno:

It's never been about that anyway; it's been about the employment practices. One aspect of that suit got thrown out ----- that's it.

As I keep saying -- consider the source.

No worries sweety...Paula Dean repesents the south PERFECTLY.

Thanks for playing.

You paint with a pretty big, ignorant brush... So, is it safe to assume that Northerners are all loud-mouthed, bigoted blowhards who look down their noses at anyone that lives below the Mason-Dixon line?

Yes. Utter contempt for the successful. One can become jealous enough that they would be willing to destroy someone's livelihood. Guess what liberals? You were wrong.

The more successful and the more white the successful the more contempt they have. Racist pigs, the entire bunch.

Except that's not what happened here.

There was no huge organized campaign to crush the life out of Paula Deen. It came out that she used racist language, and her CORPORATE sponsors made a business decision that her brand of cuddly cooking was no longer going to sell products.

In short, they made the kind of BUSINESS decision Republicans usually like when its deciding to move a plant to China because they work cheaper or fire all those union guys and hire a bunch of scabs.

And the person who sued was white. She was trying to make big bucks on the backs of black workers who apparently don't have any problem with Paula. What don't you get about that? Do you seriously think if she had gotten a dime she would have given them any of it? The woman should be legally charged for this attempted extortion. She should also be fired for cause. I have been watching Paula since she came on. The black restaurant owners she has on her show don't seem to mind her or all the free advertising they get. And they don't complain about her being a racist. Something is rotten here, and people like you just want to fling the term racist around as if it had any shock value and as if it were not already overused and empty. You couldn't figure it out if your life depended on it. This was nothing but frivolous, and the charges against her brother have not even been addressed by the court.

Unlike your WHITE heroine in this matter (and you), Paula is a survivor. She is a winner. She will be able to use this to her advantage and do better than she ever did.
