I do know however that the government policy of handing everyone a check here in the U.S....which is a very socialist policy... has made life much more expensive to get by now. All of our money is worth less, and people cant save money any more, they are having to dip into their retirement funds just to get by.

We pay for healthcare through our taxes. That means we do not get charged for care when we are ill.
People in receipt of these payments will have paid their taxes for 40 or 50 years. Their taxes built hospitals and trained doctors.
They are entitled to cupport and it is better that we prevent them getting ill rather than see them in hospital.
