Paying for infrastructure

Look...after putting two trillion on the debt for tax cuts that did very little for the country...I frankly don't care how or even IF we "pay for" these very necessary infrastructure upgrades.

And neither should you
I agree, but I want govt to pay for any "forever" tax cuts or social programs. Hard infrastructure is like when your house heater goes out, and you tack onto your utility bill a fee for ten years to replace it. Trump's Never in his life been a conservative (unless illegally not renting to blacks is conservative (-:), but when the gop abandoned consvatism for the Turtle's acqiring political power over country....

faux conservatives only like the rich when they bitch about taxes and spending money on working people.
To them, we never have money to help struggling Americans but can always afford tax cuts
The estimated aggregate cost of the War on Poverty is nearly $28 trillion, which is three and a half times higher than the $8 trillion total price tag of every major war since the American Revolution.

It’s Time to Admit the Feds Are Making Poverty Worse—Not ...

Maybe since we have spent over 28 trillion dollars on the poor and they are still poor, something is terrible wrong with the poor.

Does that include our alleged wars on crime, drugs, and terror? Providing for the General Welfare is actually and expressly in our federal Constitution. There is no general warfare clause nor even any common offense clause.
Some panhandlers can make up to $80,000 tax free, yet use our infrastructure. Why shouldnt they pay their fair share. You wont answer the question, why not?

Without modern infrastructure including roads, bridges, ports, rail, communications and power……Corporations have no way of getting supplies or bringing their products to market

They exist because we provide infrastructure
They should pay for it
Who do you think works for corporations? Everyday people who actually work for a living, why should they be taxed more while the poor get taxed far less?

So, who should pick up the cost of improving infrastructure in this country?

Corporations that make a profit off of that infrastructure or struggling Americans?

Unlike you, most people get to work using that infrastructure, everyone profits. And like most commies, you think someone else should pay so you don't have to. Literally everything you buy to stay alive comes on a truck.

Who profits off the work you do?
Corporations
That infrastructure helps their employees get to work as well as all their supplies and broadens who they can ship product to

Things I buy come from a truck. But who is making the profit off of that sale?

The employee also profits from selling his labor.

Users and consumers should pay infrastructure costs. Users are obvious but by consumers it is like, one might not use the highways but the goods you buy don't magically arrive at stores or at your front door.

Users do pay via the mark ups and shipping charges charged by manufacturers and retailers. All that free shipping isn't actually free

None of this really matters. As reagan said he didn't worry about rich people cause they could take care of themselves. LOL

Biden pledged to not raise taxes on >400k. Gop pledged "no new taxes" So they do the two step and get a bipartisan deal on whatver "loose change" is hanging around. Then the dems do a second bill that's paid for by raising some taxes. Just thank god their are still some centrists around who realize - unlike Sanders Warren and AOC and her 'squad' - that in a capitalistic economy private investors allocate capital into what are seen as the most productive uses.

Correct. These idiots see a two for the price of one sign and actually believe it. They're stupid.

What do you expect from people who think 5 for $3 is a better deal than 2 for $1?

And you would have no way of getting food. STFU already, you're a fucking broken record.

They wouldn't fall for that crap if they were learning math instead of being indoctrinated with idiotic stuff like CRT, sex education, and marxism.

They pay the tax when they buy the stuff. Why do the poor who pay no taxes get to use the infrastructure the same as the rich people who pay most of the tax? Shouldnt the poor pay their fair share?
The wealthy profit off of infrastructure

They do.

You don't seem to realize that trucking companies pay more taxes and higher tolls to use roads than the average guy driving to work.

And don't forget that all those roads benefit working people too because they can drive a little further to a better job.

IMO every federal Hwy should be a toll road and the tolls collected in a state for the federal government should be spent in that state.
Those trucks also add more wear and tear to our infrastructure than the average family minivan

Corporations survive because of our infrastructure. They should use more of their profits to pay for it

So do you. So you should pay for it.
