Paying people off to avoid a scandal is perfectly legal

I'm not sure why, but it seems the Democrats think that paying off a woman to be quiet about a scandal is somehow illegal. Well, it isn't.

Meanwhile, I'm wondering what any of this has to do with collusion with Russia...
Payments to keep someone quiet during the election in coordination with and at the direction of the candidate is a violation of election laws because it was not reported. Had Trump reported and declared the contribution, it would have been legal. How serious it is depends on whether it was intentional or it was simply a clerical mistake. Frankly, I think it's crazy to think that the Pussy Grabber had any attention of reporting the payoff to a porn star as a campaign expense and the funds as a contribution.
Wrong, asshole. It's not a campaign expenditure. How many times do you brain-damaged morons have to be told that? If he had used campaign money, they Mueller would be prosecuting him for using campaign funds for personal expenses.

You Trump hating psychos are a special kind of stupid.

Welp it appears the NY DA has evidence Trump didn't pay Cohen back himself... he used Trump Foundation money and they listed it as a business expense for legal fees. Oops.
Post it, asshole.

Go find it yourself dumbass. This wouldn't be an issue if you paid attention to the news and a brain larger than a chickpea.
In other words, there is no such evidence.

Sorry it is the Trump Organization, not Foundation.

Manhattan D.A. Eyes Criminal Charges Against Trump Organization
There is no shortage of Corrupt Dim prosecutors eager to investigate Republicans. Criminalizing political differences is what Dims do. It's what Stalinists do.

Deflection.

He would have plead guilty to fucking a unicorn in the ass if that would reduce his sentence.

Sorry there boss you are talking about another thing you know nothing about. Cohen had to give his plea in front of a judge who asked him questions in order to validate whether he was making a plea deal for a REAL crime.

You should stop making such ridiculous statements about law that you have no fucking clue what you are talking about.
The judge never asked any such question, douchebag. The defendant isn't the one who decides whether the charges against him are legitimate.

The judge did ask him to detail what he was pleading guilty to. :abgg2q.jpg:

Its like a bad episode of the Twilight zone with these morons; is it not?

Yeah, I would say it is more like that Roddy Piper movie "They Live." Trump supporters are walking around seeing a total different reality than the rest of the world.

The funny thing is... the movie premise is fucking perfect, except they aren't aliens, they are morons.

The FEC uses the rule of "irrespective". Would the expense have occurred irrespective of a candidacy?

If Trump was worried about it ruining his marriage, he would have paid her off YEARS AGO, not the month before the election.

Quit being ridiculous.

She wasn't shopping her fairy tale years ago. Pecker told Cohen she was looking for a payday.

Yes she was... she did a fucking interview in 2011 with In Touch Magazine... he didn't pay her off back then.

Just because someone is a porn star doesn't mean they are a whore. The Republicans tried to use an affair with an intern to Impeach Bill Clinton. Tit for tat.

It’s not ok when it’s a violation of election law

If Hillary did this you’d be in melt down

Now be quiet. You sound stupid

Its not a violation, legal experts and even the former head of the Federal Election Commission say so. Tissue? lmao!
the federal election commission SAID it WAS a crime, and that is why Cohen was able to be charged with a crime for it by the prosecutors....

No, the FEC did not say it was a crime, moron. It said exactly the opposite.

It “really doesn’t matter” if President Donald Trump or his lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 since there’s a “strong argument” that it wasn’t a campaign expenditure, according to former Federal Election Commission Chairman Bradley Smith.

“I think that there’s a very strong argument that this is not a campaign contribution and not a campaign expenditure,” Smith told Fox News host Laura Ingraham Thursday night on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“And it really doesn’t matter whether Cohen paid or Trump paid it or Trump reimbursed Cohen. If it’s not a campaign expenditure, it’s not going to be covered by campaign finance laws,” said Smith (pictured above on far right).
If it was not a campaign contribution and expense, you are correct but Cohen made it pretty clear that it was when he said the payments were “in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office”. Had he said Donald Trump then one might assume it was money to protect the family or some personal interest not connected to campaign but no it was from a candidate for federal office. He also told the judge that he knew what he was doing was illegal but that he did it anyway.

It's illegal if you don't report it.

When candidates use their personal funds for campaign purposes, they are making contributions to their campaigns. Unlike other contributions, these candidate contributions are not subject to any limits. They must, however, be reported.

Contributions made from the candidate’s personal funds must be reported. The reporting varies according to whether the personal funds of the candidate were loaned or contributed directly to the candidate’s authorized committee, or whether the funds were spent by the candidate out-of-pocket.

Yeah problem is, that doesn't even matter anymore. Trump paid Cohen back through his company, not his personal account.

Wrong. Porn star is her profession. Do you know what a whore is?

Also do you understand that you are trying to talk down the person Trump cheated on his wife with?

What the fuck is wrong with you? If Cohen makes false statements under oath, like in front of the judge when he gives his plea agreement, he gets a LONGER sentence. Please do yourself and the rest of the people on the forum a favor and quit trying to discuss things that involves law.

He offered her money at the time... just like he did with McDougal and they turned him down. He didn't pay her for sex, he paid her not to say they had sex. Wow, you don't understand the difference.
