Kenneth Janken, a University of North Carolina historian, discussed the post-Charleston shift in thinking among both liberals and conservatives in a recent interview with The Christian Science Monitor. “Things can be reversed, they can be revoked,” he said.

Lolz ... The NAACP and National Action Network have been fighting hard (along with politicians) to get a Confederate statue removed from the Caddo Parish Courthouse.
Unfortunate for them ... The statue and the piece of land it sits on in the Courthouse Square are owned by the Daughters of the Confederacy ... And not the Parish.

I have no doubt that they will figure out some way to get it removed ... But it will require the acquisition and destruction of private property.
Fitting as it may be ... The statue is named "The Last Confederate Flag" ... And is listed in the National Registry of Historical Sites.

Almost 150 years since the end of the Civil War ... And we are still trying to rewrite history.
