Video: Voters in L.A. Times debate group agree top goal is to oust Trump
The best part of the video comes when Frank asks the voters to use one word to describe trump voters. The most common word was ignorant, also sad, misinformed, uneducated, etc. Calling people ignorant is really a nonstarter. Now all these winners are from California, but this has to reflect a brainwashing, a complete vacuum of opposing views or as with many in the crowd a selfishness about why haven’t I gotten free medical yet. None of these people speak of preserving anything American, a care for other people, or blame for the democratic politicians that have caused the problems ravaging California. Not one is concerned about the cost of Medicare for all. Not one has any concern for a trump voter, to a person they all consider themselves smarter than any trump voters.
Trump voters don’t disparage democratic voters with such conceit and contempt. This learned behavior by democratic voters creates such a divide. When one side is so blind to their own behavior that they don’t understand how they come across, they lose perspective. Most democrats must live in a bubble where they only live eat and breathe their talking points, they are disconnected from reality and real people. They are programmed and cannot think logically or independently. I do not know what the answer is but if you can’t even talk to these democratic droids you can never find common ground. Group think is a disease and California is experiencing an epidemic.
Any republican ad man who doesn’t take this clip and make an ad out of it needs to be fired. This is election gold even if it just divides us further apart. Republicans have to stop agreeing that this debate is a zero sum game. The democrats are the violent, the misguided, the intolerant, the mendacious, the treasonous, the anti American segment of our society, and they are increasingly more so. If their minds are closed to facts, reason, objective debate, and earnest engagement what recourse does that leave for the people in this country that want to get along?
