John Pike, Pepper-Spraying Cop, Gets $38,000 Disability Settlement

The former University of California, Davis police officer who pepper-sprayed Occupy protesters has reached a worker's compensation settlement with the university system.

The Davis Enterprise reports (Pepper-spray cop gets $38,059 in workers? comp Davis Enterprise ) that a judge on Oct. 16 approved the $38,000 settlement between John Pike and the University of California.

The 40-year-old former officer said he suffered depression and anxiety after death threats were sent to him and his family over the Nov. 18, 2011 event.

While its outrageous that this bozo gets paid off for assaulting peaceful protestors and outrageous that he got death threats, he's been hurt bad for his actions. In spite of his 8 month long paid vacation and his very small disability pay, I would guess that after attorney fees, he doesn't have much.

He's not qualified to be a security officer now so maybe it won't be long before he's serving hamburgers to the same students he attacked.

What goes around comes around.
You reap what you sow.
And like that there.
