Proposals to build this system came before Congress again in 1927, 1944, and finally 1956

I will say one thing the Infrastructure Bill did not address the repairs and improvements to the system that has served America well. What many of Americans do not realize is that this roadway system is also part of our national defense.

We don't see the racial inequity in the highway system, at least in Chicago anyway. We see blacks shooting people on all major expressways and highways here.
