2. I understand that in 2020, China does NOT persecute gay people (as is currently done in Africa & the Middle East & in some parts of Asia), but it wants gay relations to stay in the closet.

3. If Mr. B. and his husband arrived together, the Chinese media would be very embarrassed. Gay marriage, I believe, is not allowed in China (but is allowed in some form in Taiwan).
