Petraeus says "NO" to National Security Adviser job

Well, ain't this interesting...

KT McFarland married Alan Roberts McFarland in 1984.[12] She has a daughter Fiona and had two brothers, Tom and Michael. Michael died of an AIDS-related illness on June 8, 1995. Prior to his death, McFarland outed her brother as gay, blaming his homosexuality on family abuse. "If I had one word to describe my sister, it would be 'evil'", her living brother Tom Troia told The New York Post in 2006.[13] defending their father.

Right, she didn't get along with her brother so you don't think she should be on the NSC.

The NSA shoud be the very best available. If Trump wants somebody with experience he should pick Condoleeza Rice, if she'll take the job.

Link to her saying that?

Relax comrade, it was supposed to be a joke.

Allthough you'll have to admit that Sarah would greatly increase the amusement value of Trump's circus

He still would have been dragged through the mud. We both know that. Every major media would have brought it to light again.
He turned it down knowing what hell the hearings would be, betcha anything. I doubt he would have wanted his family to relive his scandal publicly again..
I didn't want Petraeus... but that should say something when even he would turn down the job. Sitting at home on probation is better than working for Trump. :lmao:

The job of the national security adviser is to advise the President on how to best accomplish his policy goals, so not only does this person have to be very competent but he or she must also support the President's policy goals. McFarland and Flynn did but it is not clear Rice would, especially since there is bad blood between President Trump and the Bush family.

LMAO, you moron. We ALL know you would have been shitting your pants had he attempted to go through with it.

How could he ever pass the security clearance? He's been convicted of giving top secret information to someone with no clearance. That should bar him from EVER having access to top secret information ever again.

Actually, she had a high level of clearance. She was an intelligence officer in the Army Reserves. If she had been on active duty at the time, it would have been perfectly legal to provide her with that information, but since she was inactive at the time, it was technically a violation.

Whoever accepts the offer will be going through a meat grinder. It's not everyone's cup of tea. Lefties will investigate your sewer lines.

I wasn't aware of her prior status - thank you for that. But regardless, that conviction would disqualify him wouldn't it.

Actually it's sad. Trump needs people who aren't racist or crazy, like he is.

There would be no legal obstacle and Trump has said he thought the sentence was excessive, and the FBI would almost certainly give him the necessary security clearance, but apparently Petraeus, despite all his brilliance, is just not a good fit politically for the Trump administration.

Is anyone, really? Trump's management style is chaotic at best. Every morning he goes into the Oval Office and tells everybody what they're going to do today. Planning is impossible, because every morning those plans get tossed based on the boss' mood that day.

He announced a rally in Florida what - Wednesday. So they had to book a venue, get security into place, which I understand is a nightmare because the town where's it's being held is tiny and has a very small police force, and then hire sound system, lighting, seating, get the dias and media set up, and all of the other logistics required to prepare for this rally in three days, just because Donnie's had a rough week and needs the great love of his supporters to massage his ego. As a staffer, can you imagine how stressful it is to work in these conditions?

Then there's the lack of interest in actually filling all of those Administration jobs. Everyone is currently short staff and having to learn on the job. No wonder nobody wants to go to work in this chaos.

Obviously, a lot of people are a good fit for the Trump administration, and there is no chaos, just the desire to see chaos by Democrats and some of the media. The President has laid out clear objectives for his administration and everything is moving nicely along, despite security leaks from former Obama intel officials, Democrats in Congress trying to delay confirmation hearings and Democratic extremists crashing townhall meeting to disrupt them.
