Ringo Germany and Japan were not surrendering--even with the Allies on their doorstep---surrounded....with their cities bombed to HELL/etc.......even after the A Bombs, the Japanese vote was TIED .....and you think Russia will surrender to little Germany ???!!!!!

The more that I read and learn about Nazis and Communists, the more that I believe they are self defeating. They cause war by their natures, and the Nazis could not even hold Moscow. I am sure that they thought that they would win before winter set in.

What the Nazis did in invading Russia is a textbook example of reckless disregard for reality.

His successors differ.
Khrushchev went against the Stalinist line and he broke the totalitarian regime. Brezhnev gradually began to revive it, Gorbachev tried to return to Khrushchev's policy.
Incidentally, Khrushchev was to some extent a continuation of the Axis policy. First, he was a leader in the destruction of the British Empire. Secondly, during his reign, there was a lot of anti-Semitic rhetoric in the socialist camp.
