Miriam and Arron mistakenly railed against Moses for taking a wife born of the Cushites, and in this it was because she was seen as a woman of color (very dark skinned), and when God heard these ramblings he placed leprosy upon Miriam.

Num 12:9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and he departed. 12:10 When the cloud went away from over the tent, Miriam had become leprous, as white as snow. And Aaron turned towards Miriam and saw that she was leprous.

Moses then asked the Lord to heal Mariam from this punishment, otherwise in hopes that it not be fatal unto her, so she was made to reside outside the camp for seven days as she healed.

The LORD struck Miriam with leprosy as a punishment for speaking evil speech against her brother. Moses immediately interceded on her behalf with a short, urgent prayer. The LORD relented and removed the leprosy, but Miriam still had to be put outside of the camp for seven days until she was ritually fit again.

All you racist should understand that it's not about a human beings color or physical attributes, but as Martin Luther King once said in such a biblical and spiritual way - it's about one's character.
