I came out more Libertarian-Right than in the far, far more in depth one one in my sig.

I agree wiht the others, some of these questions were much to... generic with their answers.

I got pretty much the same thing on both tests.

I'm not surprised by that, I think it's... "easier" for these kinds of tests to 'define' folks who are heavily to one end or the other (be that left/right or lib/auth) It gets 'tricky' for them to define someone with views from all sides of the compass because it attempts to "equal" it all out which drags one off the 'mark' so to speak.

For example, say I get pulled 3 points left because of my anti-War on Drugs and LGBT support stances, and I get pulled 4 points right by my capitalist views and acceptance of religious freedom rights. With the questions from both ends I end up a "centrist," but I'm kind of /not/ exactly a "centrist" (as in I can go either way or whatever) on certain issues. Conceptually I'm going to spit out hard right if you were to take out LGBT questions, and heavy left if you were to take out the capitalist questions...

I think I prefer using "real" terms and ideologies rather than the charts, which is why I put the list in my sig. to kind of "clarify" my moral and ideological baseline so to speak. Of course, I also think my preference on that fails for many folks on the left who don't actually have moral or ideological "baselines," it more of a "whatever way the wind is blowing" kind of thing. (Its why they can hold two massively conflicting belief's at the same time; like hating on rich people because they supposedly "steal" from workers/the poor, while simultaneously arguing to "steal" from the rich to give to the poor - now ideologically speaking, if "stealing" is okay, then they're really just bitching about who won, not that stealing is "morally" wrong. For the left, in general, it's not so much about the principle/moral, it's about the end results, vs most right wingers who tend to be more about the moral/principle of a thing, than the end results.)

I honestly don't know what the right stands for now, other than regressiveness.

They are unrecognizable from what they were during the Reagan, Bush I, and even Bush II years. They really have no moral core at this point.

You'll have to provide a list or an issue and I'll say whether or not I agree.

The federal government/deep state is always in the wrong...
