As Conservatives and Liberals here hiss and spit at each other, many have not considered that generally - Political solutions are overrated

I've followed politics since 1964, and the lives of everyday Americans have not been drastically altered, regardless of which animal flag (donkey or elephant) flies over Washington D.C. If you want a better life for yourself, work on improving you. i.e., stop buying flashy prestige stuff, start saving at least 10% of your pay and built a nest egg. Stop making excuses and exercise daily, make smart food choices, follow a written financial plan, and manage your time wisely. People such as Gates, Jobs, Zuckerberg, and Buffett prospered, no matter who was in the White House.

Alienating people who don't share your political views means you'll have fewer friends, potential business partners, and networking contacts. These all lead to less prosperity...don't go down this path, you'll only be hurting yourself. We can't control what happens to us all the time, but we can control how we react to it. Start building a more prosperous YOU today, take a 2nd job if you have to, the opportunities are there. You, your family and friends are far more important than the liars in Washington DC (on both sides of the aisle) :bye1:

All hail the surrender monkeys of our time. No pox on their house, not ever. Surely you jest, no? The lives of average Americans have been fundamentally 'altered' for the worse in countless ways. Perhaps you subscribe to the 'mind your own backyard' philosophy of being an American. Doing that involves burying your head in the sand, deep and hoping for the best for your ass, which is still sticking out above ground for everyone to see. The most heated battlegrounds of our time are the minds of our children and the wombs of our women; a no-holds barred anything goes all out war to convert and brainwash our kids and murder as many developing unborn children as possible. But hey, if your self-contrived fantasyland of an idyllic America keeps you sane and getting out of bed each day then why awaken from your apathetic dreams of false Utopia? As Rome burns around you, as the smoke of smoldering civilization thickens, do continue blowing sunshine up your own ass. Just don't expect everyone else to join you in those fairy tales.
