You could also say that "Politico" doesn't stand behind their initial claim. It depends on your point of view. Isn't it reasonable for a 17 year old kid who turns out to be the top ROTC student and meets the U.S. commanding General would assume that the way is paved for a West Point appointment? Again it's much ado about nothing but the left wing Politico thought nobody would notice the details. Were all the investigative reporters on leave when Barry Sotoro Hussein Obama's book came out? Wouldn't you assume that "dreams of my father" would be important enough to figure out that Barry's father's dreams were about the end of the United States? I guess a question of a West Point appointment was more important than the dreams of an alcoholic bigamist anti-American African nationalist.

POLITICO’s reporting established that Carson said he received a "full scholarship" from West Point, in writing and in public appearances over the years — but in fact he did not and there is actually no such thing as a "full scholarship" to the taxpayer-funded academy. And today in response to POLITICO he acknowledged for the first time that was not the case. Carson never explicitly wrote that he had applied for admission to West Point, although that was the clear implication of his claim to have received an offer of a "full scholarship," a point that POLITICO’s initial report should have made clear.

Politico has merely updated its story to reflect new information - but stands by its original story.

First, Politico edited the story to change the headline and content. Standing by it, my ass!!!

Second, they are still whining because it was called a scholarship in his book and they say they hold people to what they write in books. In that case, we also must realize that the bio in Obama's book says he is a Kenyan. If that is the standard you hold Carson to, then we must apply that to all.

Carson has already clarified. He did not apply nor did he claim to. He thought the free education offered was a scholarship, which is the same thing, only West Point does not call it a scholarship.

This incident has helped Carson. He gained more supporters and campaign contributions so keep up the good work.

BREAKING NEWS POLITICO HAS JUST UPDATED THERE BEN CARSON STORY.

The same idiots that say Benghazi isn't a big deal or that Obama's previous bios, two by his editor and one when he was running for Illinois senate, were typos. Now they are going after Carson and leaving no stone unturned. They are digging hard and one look at the current polls explains why. The liberal media has done more vetting on Carson the last few months than they have on Obama in over 8 years.

And the stuff they are throwing at Carson is so minor that it makes the media look like fools.
