Been watching the talking heads:

Democrats: ACA will be a wonderful thing after the bugs get worked out over time...

GOP: ACA is totally unworkable, is based on lies, and will destroy the US healthcare system by raising costs to the insured, and overloading the medical system. Hospitals and doctors will either go bankrupt or stop serving ACA patients.

It will work as well as any other scheme that has been tried in the states here. Burgeoning costs, limited accessibility, poor results.
It will achieve Democrat nirvana: everyone will be equally poor and miserable.

It will be such a bureaucratic clusterfuck that Americans will demand Congress fix this mess they've made. Of course, by the time Congress gets around to doing anything it will be too late to go back to pre-Obamacare insurance. Thankfully, Congress will be there to sweep away Obamacare completely and replace it with single-payer government run healthcare.

You think healthcare was screwed up before, wait until some pencil pusher types in DC decide every single health care decision for you via a flow chart and physicians are all government employees.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

Ocare has immunized the US from single payer because it has created a bigger and better bloody shirt to beat the Ds with. Plus destroying the allies of Obama and the Ds. The Rs may talk a good game but across the board primary challenges and/or a party split is more than they can and will stomach.

Medicare for all is coming.

Despite the terrible rollout, the true believers always knew this was a stepping stone and the fix is in.

Obamacare, like virtually every other liberal program, is unsustainable. Social Security is going bankrupt. Medicare is going bankrupt. ACA will be worse. It is another welfare benefit for some and, like every other vote-buying freebie giveaway, the cost always gets passed on to the 40-hour a week workers. Liberals always claim they are going after the wealthy, as if that is noble to rob anyone, but they always go after any tax money they can get their hands on and the average person doesn't have tax shelters so they get hit with costs.

It's true what Margaret Thatcher said. You do eventually run out of other people's money and there is no doubt we will. Heck, we're already out of money and the government keeps spending more and writing IOUs that future generations will deal with.

Many doctors and hospitals are already saying they won't take Obamacare patients. They can't function if most of their patients are on Medicare, Medicaid or other government plan. They don't even pay them enough to cover the actual cost of care. Obama and some other liberals have never worked in the private sector and are either completely clueless about how business works or they are deliberately bringing the private sector to it's knees.

Of course, he managed to transfer a lot more power from the people to government with this bill and as long as he has what he wants, he isn't going to lose sleep over millions of people going without. About 6 million uninsured (more accurate count, not the one quoted by the lying sacks of shit) was deemed a crisis and now that even more are going to be without, Obama just coldly announces that Obamacare won't be repealed as long as he is in office. Seriously, he doesn't give a shit.

I'm still pissed that the very people who wrote, supported and passed Obamacare are exempt. Are liberals too blind to be outraged by that? How in the hell is that okay with any of you?

Medicare for all is coming.

Despite the terrible rollout, the true believers always knew this was a stepping stone and the fix is in.

Medicare for all while allowing supplemental insurance would be a good thing in the long run. The key is to allow for supplemental insurance so that those who want and can afford premium care have access to it.

The ACA is the stepping stone for the Single Payer, which will probably be medicaid/medicare...........

It's sole purpose was to redistribute wealth, and put millions on Free Shit. It purposely damages the classes outside the poverty range, which further weakens the Middle Class..........

Damages the economy, and will cause massive debt.

Down the road, they will say the only option left is the single payer, and blame those who did not pass the law for doing so...........Standard Liberal Lying tactics.

The current supplemental market is being phased out in favor of managed care because that's how the incentives are oriented. While I think your suggestion has merits, the government gets in the way of it's own goals so much that it too often becomes a clusterfuck.

That's the problem with these wild-eyed leftists, they have such grand visions of how great things could be and they ignore how bad government bureaucracy actually is.

You are correct single payer for all, and I say fuck you.

The far right reactionaries merely whine and pine instead of offering constructive solutions.

And the big government nimrods will insist that any ideas that don't acquiesce to the bulk of ACA aren't "constructive solutions".

The first step is to get rid of the mandates, then community rating, then get rid of tax incentives and subsidies propping up insurance. Then use the commerce clause a it was intended and get rid of the byzantine state laws preventing real freedom when it comes too insurance.

Obamacare, in the first place, is designed to destroy BIG BAD INSURANCE COMPANIES. The only end result will have to be total government controlled "healthcare" which is the primary goal. That really will be a major clusterfuck.

It's sort of like the MoTown bailout. Just recently government finally got rid of all it's financial interests in that bailout ... but the cost of losses to the American taxpayers was in the millions. Lesson: government should NEVER have any control over investments made with taxpayer dollars.

That may have been the intent of many who supported ACA, and some who voted for it (probably the ones who didn't read it). But it's actually a bailout of private insurance and is designed to keep them in play as long as possible.
