Some pollsters at Yale presented people with their representation of the Green New Deal, as opposed to asking them to read the actual proposal put forth by Alexendria Occasio-Cortez. They claim 80% of voters overall and 60% of Republicans favor it. Anyone who answered without reading AOCs proposal for themselves is part of the problem. This is assuming the study wasn't biased in its sampling and that the data wasn't cherry-picked, which is probably a big assumption given the ideological nature of social "science".
"Therefore, these findings may indicate that although most Republicans and conservatives are in favor of the Green New Deal’s policies in principle, they are not yet aware that this plan is proposed by the political Left.”
So, they attempt to remove bias by selectively withholding information, as opposed to providing more information. At the bottom of the image is the representation of the Green New Deal people were presented. Does anyone here actually believe that this poll accurately represents reality?
Poll: Majorities of both parties support Green New Deal
