Pope says homosexuality not a crime

Why don't you tell us a bit about The Book of Romans beyond just canned recitation of select, cherry-picked passages.
Tell us about the period of the writing.
The context.
The origin.
What you may know about what is left of the original manuscript.
Why do you suppose a Hellinistic Jew like Paul would compose such a bizzare manuscript to the early Church of Rome before he had even ever visited?

Why don't YOU actually try reading and understanding the Bible. Obviously you don't know about Covenants.
Stop wasting my time

Gives sassyIrishlass a big hug :)
You really should not be touching anyone without their permission. You could be arrested for assault and battery. Yes just for a hug. Find yourself sued. Yes just for a hug. Or just get some teeth knocked out. Yes, just for a hug.

Or his bb's up around his ears

In some Catholic church, somewhere in America, there's a little boy being taught 'the way' by a priest in a 'one on one' experience.
A homosexual priest because homosexuals are drawn to anyplace they have access to children.

None worse than teachers, though. A male teacher is automatically assumed to be a pervert.

That's because the whole story (or anthology of stories) is not based in reality.
It is mythology....written by primitive people in heavily patriarchal societies.
That is why the whole myth of Jesus had to make him out to be the "son" of God....who has to be a "father."
If you were going to make up a story for THIS culture about divine intervention in human affairs OF COURSE your main characters are going to be men....and their sons....and their "kings."
It just sells.
Wheras the same story with female characters would have just been ridiculous and unbelievable at this time in this part of the world.
How do you know that Sodom and Gomorrah didnt happen? Were you there? Why are there records of such events that later on were put in a great book?

You asked, it was delievered. Shame on you.

Romans 1:26-27

That's the problem with quoting just one or two verses. People can quite often twist them into their own interpretation, especially if they don't use the verses before and after to give the quoted verses context.

If one were to read the whole thing (in context), it's saying that the people as a whole were given over to sinful things because they had forgotten God, not just the women. And, what's worse, it appears that God actually MADE them turn that way (so much for a loving God).

Here is the whole story with the verses in context.................

God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Basically, the whole story says that because the people did not acknowledge or think it was worthwhile to remember God, He made those people act out in the very things He said He was against. It helps to get the whole story. And, it wasn't just the women that were affected, it was ALL the people, men included.

Still waiting for a denouncement of lesbianism from the Bible.

Or.................as Paul Harvey said "and now you know, the rest of the story".

The same "logic" you use can also be used against you. How do you know that Sodom and Gomorrah DID happen? Were you there? Why is there no physical evidence of those places existing or being destroyed? Why do we have to believe just a few written accounts that exist primarily in only 1 book? Why aren't there historical records of this rather large happening in other written accounts other than the Bible?

And...................can you prove that God exists? How is it possible to perceive Him with our 5 senses?

It should not be considered a crime but is definitely a sin and is disgusting behavior to be ridiculed.

Oddly we don't seem to think the same way about all the other things noted in the Bible. Adultery is discussed far more often. Gluttony. Greed. All things we see as positives in some.

Hate to say it, but it's because greed, gluttony and adultery are seen as "fun" by most people. Being attracted to those of the same gender isn't.

Interestingly enough, those 3 things are celebrated a great deal on what is supposed to be one of the holiest days of Christianity (Christmas). Greed, because lots of people are looking for as many presents as they can get (quite oft hoping they get more than others), gluttony because lots of people stuff themselves silly at Christmas dinner (as well as during most of the month of Dec), and adultery because of all the hanky panky going on at the traditional office party.

It was posted (by some loon, you?) women and homosexuality isn't mentioned in the Bible. I provided verse showing it is.

Now don't get your panties all twisted and start trolling again. That's past tiresome

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit is it Bitchy Irish Karen Ass? I specifically asked for where in the Bible does it speak out AGAINST lesbianism? Your provided verse doesn't cut it. Try again. Apparently, you also need some work on coherent retorts as well.
