[You are absolutely correct. It does take more tax revenue to balance a budget, but less spending is also necessary as well. A little news out of the ideal Obama model state of the Northeast, Maine, where 51 % of the state's residents are on the dole, while the other 49% labor mightily to support them and themselves. Once you find your way onto the dole, you don't vote yourself off. See Greece and France where the electorate on the dole, because there are more of them, found it more comfortable to steal the means to sustain their dole from the rich, who are always outnumbered.
