I love everything you said, except for one thing: Israel was designated as the homeland for the Jewish people, by G-d, as Moses led them to the Promised Land about 3500 years ago. Nope, because HAMAS has the option of surrender, so if they choose not to, then the rules of war apply only as the military works towards it's goal of victory. Yes their are casualties of war among the civilians who end up in the crossfire because they refused to get out of the war zones, but that's in every war zone, and in every war.

Now if you have a defenseless people not able to defend itself, and a military kills those people in mass without their being able to resist, then you have a genocide. Ethic cleansing is different, because then it's a government trying to eradicate a specific ethnicity of people from among it's population.
