There has been a recent effort from Congress — in both Houses — to illustrate the accomplishments of their majority Republican strength in the legislature as it’s been shown so far. There’s the tweet sent out from Senate Republicans listing the accomplishment of 14 bipartisan bills in the last four months — not an entirely fair summation, as the list is mostly subjective and in some cases arguably inaccurate.

The Republican National Committee published its “Republican-Led First 100 Days of Congress,” listing its own set of accomplishments, and comments from senators and representatives have cropped up all over touting the early achievements of the first 100 days with a majority of votes on the Republican side. Why the media sandstorm of accomplishments? One of the biggest promises made on behalf of the GOP during the midterm elections was the idea that a change in favor of a Republican majority would help to break gridlock, something Americans were wholeheartedly frustrated with by that time after government shutdowns and political standoffs.

And those accomplishments are so awesome, that's what we have been discussing.

The Republican National Committee has about as much to do with the Republicans, as does obama.

How can you tell a Republican is lying?

His lips are moving.

This one ticks me off because it indicates the bar is really that low:
While the budget managed to avoid a shutdown, this in itself doesn’t make for an accomplishment.
Avoiding the shutting down of the Government is not a worthy accomplishment.

Shutting down the Government is a worthy accomplishment. That the Left wet their collective pant begging to keep it going, is proof certain of THE PROBLEM!

The Dems weren't able to stop the damn Rs fro shutting down the government.

And they'll do it again. Repubs don't care how many people they hurt.

Far left propaganda at it's worst!

As a Republican, even I wouldn't want to see an "all Republican Congress".

What kind of stupid fucking idea is that anyway? :dunno:

Yes but the far left would love to see a far left Congress and President.

That is what separate a lot of the (R)'s from the far left drones..

Did you read the article? The only "accomplishment" listed was that Republicans "overstepped" on nuclear negotiations.
For some reason known only to the American people who keep voting them into office. failure doesn't seem to matter. In fact, when it comes to the GOP, it's pretty much expected.

Considering that the Democratic Party is a coalition party, who are the "far left"? Now if you ask who are on the far right, you know it's nearly the entire GOP leadership.
And what makes someone "far left". Please, no more retarded bullshit like "they want free stuff". It's makes Republicans look like a bunch of ignorant tards.

Not a big fan of Republicans. But Democrats have whored themselves out to ANY popular cause to come down the pike, it makes me sick. Hillary and illegal aliens, enough selling out, people. I have a sense of history, and all politicians inevitably sell out to the highest bidder, integrity be damned.

I've heard this basic joke where you replace "Republican" with "Democrat", "liberal", "conservative', "progressive", "creationist", "anti-vaxxer", and probably other things that I don't remember. It really does accomplish anything other than to indicate that you are booing a group you don't like.

Republicans did break the gridlock. Under the incredibly inept leadership of democrat senate majority leader the senate bottled up every bill that would have challenged the Obama administration. That's gridlock. Now the bills go through congress and for the first time the Hussein administration has to work for a living. Democrats couldn't even get a freaking budget passed when they held the majority. It's only been 100 days. What did democrats accomplish when they won the majority halfway into Bush's 2nd term? Did they tackle the economy or foreign affairs? Nope, they went after steroid use in baseball. The (new) democrat chairman of the House Banking Committee, which had oversight responsibility for Fannie Mae, told America that Fannie was fine when it was on the verge of collapse. Did Barney Frank intentionally cause the collapse of Fannie Mae as the biggest October surprise in history or was he just another stupid democrat drone who didn't have a clue? So far the idiot liberal media didn't ask him the tough questions before he retired.

The list of accomplishments shows that there are no accomplishments.

Translation...the left still has butt hurt over the GOP kicking the living shit out of them in the last 3 elections. Poor libs :crybaby:

Not at all. You need to start paying attention to the shit that is, or more accurately is not, happening before you drool all over yourselves and follow people around from post to post with trolling anti-liberal bullshit. The problem is that this is the only type of language that about a good half dozen of you guys understand. That's pretty damn sad.

So tell us what "shit" is or is not happening.
For the record, the Senate has ended its shutdown under Reid. Legislation is getting passed. Congress has passed a budget for the first time in 8 years.
Now if we can just get them to name a special prosecutor and start putting Obama Administration officials in jail we'll be on the road to something.
