Putting Black Kids In White Schools Solves Nothing

What historians? I don't know what you are talking about. The artwork of the Egyptians speaks for itself no? When I look at the artwork from Egypt I see a racial mix. I assume the texts are not lying when they included facts about the Egytians being traders. I assume they mixed bloodlines with surrounding Mediterranean and indian/asian peoples, no? I find it interesting that most of the artwork gives the people of egypt distinctly asian eye lines.

You dont get to see all of the artwork for one and lots of times what you are looking at is redone by Europeans. If you go and see the artwork for yourself you will see that they were Black. It occurred to me that whites seem to have this idea that all Black people are in fact Black. We have the most diverse gene pool on the face of the planet and we have all the characteristics in our appearance that other races have. I especially like your last note about asian eyes. You do realize that the oldest people on the planet that originated that feature are Black Africans dont you? Here is a picture of the Khoisan people in Africa with so called Asian eyes.

Other Black people in Africa have the same eyes. You too have been influenced by the media and historians.

heh...

Those are pretty girls.

Sometimes when someone says you have asian looking eyes it just means they think you have asian looking eyes.

Visual Traits can evolve independently or through mixing. I really don't have a problem with either.

Yes, I'm fully aware that traits such as skin pigmentation can can evolve independently and through mixing. My guess is we (man as a species) originate from a large number of primate species, and that our blood lines have mixed and evolved quite literally trillions of times since we started walking upright.

Thats because they have been taught/socialized/programmed to think that only Asians typically have those eyes. We probably did evolve from different primate species but there is no doubt we all started as Black people from Africa. The DNA trail starts in Africa for homo sapiens sapiens.

But I thought you said in the other thread that in a black / white mixed family black traits were the dominant traits, where'd all my black attributes go :) JK it's nuts that we even discuss people in terms of race, completely nutz.

Black/white school? Nutz, just nutz.

"Your people" adjusted to the cold environment of western europe during the last ice age.

Unfortunately until the truth is widely known you will see racism have an effect on school performance.

The truth... I don't think most people give a shit about real truth. I think most people go through life with a chip on their shoulders assuming everything they've been taught is gospel.

Fear is the mind killer. Fear of change, fear of impacts to our social circles, fear of loosing, ... fear blocks us from weeding out the lies & hate that act as shield walls for our social circles.

I don't disagree with you on this on much but the "Afro-centric" part... But if you mean by Afro-centric that we need to tell the stories of of how we contributed besides being slaves, then I don't disagree at all. We did do a lot more than be slaves. A black man designed D.C. For instance. Since white liberals want to exploit us for votes, they're not going to give us too much credit, they thrive on grievance politics. Therefore, we have to adopt a conservative value system that will uplift our people and go from there. Seperate from the system as I said. This would be a long road, but it would be beneficial to us. Even with all the obstacles, we are catching up in IQ with the average. Black Americans do not fall far behind at all...just a few points. We are scoring higher than South Asians & even the Arabs...it's all about culture.
We have really derailed this thread... Back to the original topic. That's true that sending black kids to white schools doesn't really help black kids in the long run. We need to change the culture in our own communities and do it on our own. That's the fix, build stronger families and if someone in our community cannot help their kids with their school work because of whatever reason, those with the means to remedy the situation, be there to help. Seperate from the system as much as possible as far as education goes.

Which is my point. Black people educated without a Black/Afrocentric view of the world automatically are put into a dynamic where they are taught their ancestors contributed nothing but physical labor. The rare teachers that do know the reality are few and far between. Either the teachers in the school system need to be educated or Black people should start educating their own. There has to be that foundation of pride built first before they have to venture out into a world that is filled with racists. I find it curious that in general Black children seemed to achieve more when segregated and taught by their own.

The only Afrocentric I know is one that is geared towards looking at world history through the eyes of Black people. I'm not NOI or anything like that even though there is some truth to some of their views. Like all things you have to find out what is true and whats not. I agree on some aspects of a conservative viewpoint but not all as defined by today's current climate. I dont really hold the IQ as a standard to gauge intelligence by unless I my aim is to assimilate and lose who we are as Black people. You should realize the IQ test has its roots in eugenics. Why would you measure yourself against a standard originated by people that wanted to rid the earth of you and used it as a justification to say you were less of a human being?

But I'll just bet you support planned parenthood...

IQ tests are a solid science. But yeah, it does have it's root in eugenic thought. Like you, I don't base my views of peoples intelligence solely from the IQ tests, but it does have validity, especially when it comes to fields such as math and other "roat"(I'm sure I misspelled that) learning that gives you the skills you need in life to succeed, regardless what race you are.

IQ is but one factor. Other factors can sometimes be bigger factors for success, for example appearance, character, effort...

Wow! What planet have you been on for the past 50 years? Here's a clue,....giving blacks a white education has made the NCAA, NFL, MLB, and NBA the thriving multi-billion dollar empire it is today.

You guys have been saying this same shit for ever

Ancient Egypt was founded and built by Mediterranean Caucasians as far back as 4500 B.C. Egypt’s period of greatness was from 3400 B.C. to 1800 B.C. and was characterized by its amazing architecture, pyramids, temples, and mastery of mathematics and engineering, the remnants of which are still evident today. The White Egyptians pioneered medicine, chemistry, astronomy, and law; In many cases, their achievements remain unequalled.

But, about 3400 B.C. Egypt civilization began to spread up the Nile River, bringing it in close contact with the black Nubians to the south. Soon they were using Blacks for slave labor and Egypt became history’s first melting pot.

In time the infusion of Negro blood worked itself up from the bottom of Egyptian society. The slaves were eventually freed, received political equality, and took posts of authority in government.

By the time of King Tut (1370-1352 B.C.) even the ruling classes had been mongrelized and Egypt began a tailspin downward. Today, the once-mighty Egypt is very much a Third World country, having lost its art, its medicine, its architectural ability, and its position in world affairs.

The absurd notion that Ancient Egypt was a product of Negro ingenuity is now being widely disseminated in the schools. Though scholars know this is a blatant lie, they justify the deception by assuming it will boost the “self-esteem” of Black children.

No, not in any significant number in the last 30 years or so.

Whites & blacks 100 Facts (and One Lie)

I wonder if they learned the truth about how the trans-Atlantic slave trade started, what sort of effect that would have on their self esteem.

Meaning, at what point will it be ok for schools to teach that whites did not show up to Africa with nets. As it is, that is what most of them believe.

I wonder what they would do if they learned the truth about the first slave owner in this country.

I wonder if Hollywood will ever make a movie...............about this.

Yes we know how it started. That doesn't mean southern slave owners of any color are absolved of their sins. They perpetrated it for years after we stop buying slaves from Africa.

And BTW, that Hollywood movie "12 years a slave" wasn't never made into a movie under 2013 when the book was published in the 1850s and it's budget was only $15 million which is considered a small budget film with limited release. So in reality, Hollywood wasn't gun ho about doing a slavery film on a piece of important American literature.

Yet 5 months into 2014, we have had 4 Christian movies with a wide release. So much for that gay heathen white guilt liberal Hollywood.

A lot of this discussion misses the point. The main reason why black kids were bussed to “white” schools was because the segregated schools were “separate but NOT equal.” The schools themselves in the black neighborhood were a disgrace, with falling plaster, peeling paint, warped floors in the gymnasiums, disfunctional or no swimming pools, etc. Public schools in the more affluent “white” neighborhoods were as though they were in a whole different country.

There was no reason to believe that the mere positioning of black kids alongside white kids would make them any smarter, behave any better, or learn any more.

But regardless, they were entitled to go to school in good facilities and with teachers who were not uniformly washouts and failures, as they had in their home neighborhoods.

Yes that's true. Black folks just wanted to have equal opprotunity back then... They didn't want standards lowered in their favor. And if you ask most blacks old enough to remember when affirmative action started, they did not ask for that either. All we wanted was equal opprotunity and access...not what we have today. Now, not so much and it saddens me.
