In 2015, Donald Trump said the following about Mexican immigrants: "They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." In 2016, Donald Trump called some Mexican immigrants "bad hombres". Here.
This Sexism and Racism is wrong. President Trump and Republican Party does have significant faults. If there was an Egalitarian alternative, it would have been our Ethical Duty to vote for it.
Unfortunately, Progressives offer a much worse alternative to MAGA Republicans. In most online Progressive circles, all men including all Mexican men are viewed as rapists and oppressors. Within Progressive circles, implying that not all men are bad or evil or complicit in Rape Culture is unacceptable. Hashtag #notallmen is used to ridicule anyone who challenges the idea that all men of all Ethnicities are guilty. Tens of thousands of articles written by Feminist Scholars and available on Google explain why #notallmen is a bad take. Paradoxically, most Progressives would not dare to say "and some, I assume, are good people" about men of any background.
Perhaps Republican Party has enough faults to be viewed as The Lesser Evil. Unfortunately, it is the only alternative to the Greater Evil.
