I don't think many would argue with this, but almost all incumbents get reelected no matter what they do.

The government is what the American people keep electing, like it or not.

Incumbents get reelected because politicians have rigged and gamed the election process to heavily favor the incumbents. Why do you think Politicians openly mock and despise voters without fear? Because they know they have the system rigged. Going so far as to undermine protections in the Constitutions by corrupting the press, and corrupting industries and public sector unions by trading political favors for money. Politicians ARE the problem people.
