So where in the bible did it say Mary and Joseph were homeless?
No room at the inn.
Wrong answer retard, do you even know why they went to Bethlehem to begin with and might need an inn?
No room at the inn is actually in the Bible, retard. Maybe read it?
Their need for lodging at an inn doesn't mean that they were homeless. The Bible indicates that they were travelling, and thus some distance away from where they normally made their home. See Luke 2:1-5…
- And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
- (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
- And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
- And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David: )
- To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
With just a bit of Googling, I learned that the straight-line distance from Nazareth to Bethlehem is about 70 miles, but that Joseph and Mary had probably travelled about 90 miles to get there. It would be nothing to cover that sort of distance today, in a little over an hour, in a modern automobile, but back then, that was probably at least a few days of travel time to cover that distance. Whether they had a home or not, they were far enough from it that they needed alternate lodging.
