Republicans and the poor. What do they think will happen eliminating SS and Medicare?

Do they think torturing the poor will somehow help? Because for those who rely on SS and Medicare, they will certainly end up destitute without that help they worked their entire lives to get.

destitute
/ˈdɛstɪˌtjuːt/
adjective
1.
lacking the means of subsistence; totally impoverished
2.
(postpositive) foll by of. completely lacking; deprived or bereft (of):destitute of words
3.
(obsolete) abandoned or deserted

----------------------

Why do Republicans see this as a viable policy? Anyone?

When the Revolution comes, guess who'll be the first ones against the wall? :)

Dude we've just barely made any inroads into convincing republicans to give a damn about the middle class! They're not ready to start talking about poor people!

Baby steps!

:laugh:

Well, if you convince them to do so, they'll be the only ones.

If you really think democrats care about the middle class then their marketing campaign is working.

Yes--it is.

If politics were Basketball
Democrats==Harlem Globetrotters
Republicans==Washington Generals

Republicans need to draw up better political tactics and counter tactics. They let Democrats shape the terrain way too often.
Actually, after the terrible disasters caused by GOP policies, clearly, it's Republicans shaping the terrain.

Democrats. Look at Russia. Totalitarian governments need drones. Liberals think too much. They write books. They question things. Historically, liberals are the first to go.

Eliminate Medicare and SS, and people will have more money. It's really quite simple.

The problem is that few are willing to RELIGIOUSLY save 15% + of EVERY paycheck from the first job at Mickey-D's to retirement day or disability day, and the choice for The People becomes to care for the most vulnerable among us at tax-payer expense or to rely on the charity of the lucky.

Unfortunately, having the streets full of old and disabled people begging for food is a turn off for tourists.

:dunno: WYGD?

Yeah, so?

:disbelief: Deja Vu!

Hello? :eusa_eh:

Is this thing on?

Is your only play repeating the same pointlessly irrelevant murmur?

When presented with a question that has already been answered, yes.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

In other words, you believe that you are entitled to have any answer accepted. No matter how much of a straw man it may be. That says alot.
