Just as it was when Reagan, Bush, and Bush Jr, were in the White House, the Republicans are getting ready to, again, line the pockets of the super-rich.
The two following paragraphs from the article at the link below say it all:
“Here's how it works: When there's a Democrat in the White House, Republicans say the deficit is a positively existential threat to our nation and our children's future, and we simply must make brutal cuts to spending in order to bring it under control. But when there's a Republican in the White House, they say deficits are something to be concerned about, sure, but maybe at some later date, because right now we really need to cut taxes and boost military spending.”
“That's not to say that Republicans don't have some spending cuts planned, because they do, to things like food stamps and Medicaid. But that's not about saving money, it's ideological. Elsewhere they're looking forward to blowing up the deficit as high as they can.”
Yes, the Republicans love to cut the taxes of the fat cats, and spend like drunken sailors when it comes to showering tens-of-billions onto the top executives in the defense industries. At the same time, they take immense pleasure hurting the people who paid into Social Security for decades and now depend on SS and Medicare. It gratifies Republicans like Paul Ran to victimize the millions who rely on Medicaid, and S.N.A.P., especially the children of these families.
It is the stupidest among the elderly, the disabled, the poor, lower and middle income workers who vote for any Republican candidate.
The fact that the GOP is the party of the very, very rich is again being proven by Trump’s choices for his transition team and cabinet. (Trump IS still catering to the rank-and-file racists with a few of his selections.) Of course, the idiots on the right cannot see Trump's devotion to his fellow fact cats, which is why the Republicans fight to keep our education system lagging far behind the other developed and some under-developed nations. Republican leaders have known for decades that poor education is the best tool to create conservatives, and once created, their willful ignorance keeps them voting Republican.
Republicans are getting ready to explode the deficit again
