Just as it was when Reagan, Bush, and Bush Jr, were in the White House, the Republicans are getting ready to, again, line the pockets of the super-rich.

The two following paragraphs from the article at the link below say it all:

“Here's how it works: When there's a Democrat in the White House, Republicans say the deficit is a positively existential threat to our nation and our children's future, and we simply must make brutal cuts to spending in order to bring it under control. But when there's a Republican in the White House, they say deficits are something to be concerned about, sure, but maybe at some later date, because right now we really need to cut taxes and boost military spending.”

“That's not to say that Republicans don't have some spending cuts planned, because they do, to things like food stamps and Medicaid. But that's not about saving money, it's ideological. Elsewhere they're looking forward to blowing up the deficit as high as they can.”

Yes, the Republicans love to cut the taxes of the fat cats, and spend like drunken sailors when it comes to showering tens-of-billions onto the top executives in the defense industries. At the same time, they take immense pleasure hurting the people who paid into Social Security for decades and now depend on SS and Medicare. It gratifies Republicans like Paul Ran to victimize the millions who rely on Medicaid, and S.N.A.P., especially the children of these families.

It is the stupidest among the elderly, the disabled, the poor, lower and middle income workers who vote for any Republican candidate.

The fact that the GOP is the party of the very, very rich is again being proven by Trump’s choices for his transition team and cabinet. (Trump IS still catering to the rank-and-file racists with a few of his selections.) Of course, the idiots on the right cannot see Trump's devotion to his fellow fact cats, which is why the Republicans fight to keep our education system lagging far behind the other developed and some under-developed nations. Republican leaders have known for decades that poor education is the best tool to create conservatives, and once created, their willful ignorance keeps them voting Republican.

Republicans don't explode the debt...the democrats who controlled congress during Reagan's time promised him they would cut spending......they lied...dittos every time they were in control of the purse...

Dumb ass RWNJ traitors STILL don't know the difference between the DEBT and the DEFICIT.

Obama cut the deficit by more than 3/4 but take heart, King Trumpery has said he will borrow money because he loves him some debt.

And, really, he will have to borrow because he is slashing taxes for his 1% cronies (and himself ...) and says he will cut taxes for us peons.

Just as W left a pile of debt for Obama to take responsibility for, so will King Trumpery.

And just think, we're coming up on yet another fight about the debt ceiling. Anyone wanna bet that the same idiots who voted for trumpery STILL don't know that the debt ceiling does not increase the debt? Anyone?

Seig Heil.

Everyone here who does not know the difference between the national debt and the budget deficit needs to go back to school.

The deficit is the national debt for a 1 year. period
The national debt is the running tally of the budget deficit.

Obama exploded the national debt. Nearly doubled it in 8 short years.

No spin will change that.

He was handed a trillion dollar deficit and cut it in half, in contrast to GW Bush, who was handed a balanced budget and immediately unbalanced it.

Why can't you RWNJ traitors learn the most basic facts about your own government?

If you should ever get access to the InterWebs, educate yourself.

Hint: while you RWNJs love you some borrowing (Reagan, W, King Trumpery has stated he will be next), Obama has cut the deficit by 3/4s. LOOK IT UP and LOOK UP WHAT IT MEANS.

That's funny considering BO admin added more to the deficit than Bush 43.

He was handed a trillion dollar deficit and cut it in half, in contrast to GW Bush, who was handed a balanced budget and immediately unbalanced it.

He doubled the national debt, doubled the cost of health insurance, and "led from his behind" across the globe.

Under Obama Democrats have lost 900+ state legislature seats, 13 governors, 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats and Republicans now control 68 of the 99 state legislative chambers in the country.

He's a colossal failure.

Fighting off depressions cost money. Even during the worst of it we had investors and central banks all over the world beating down the door to put their money in Treasury bonds at practically no interest. The bulk of the debt is owed to very rich Americans who would panic if they did not have such a safe place to park their wealth.

You're clearly math and logic challenged.

The "Deficit" covers one year. Cutting the amount that government "overspends" in one year doesn't mean squat. He still overspent. He took in less than went out. that is called a deficit. The amount of each years deficit gets added to the national debt. Obama spent more and more every year. He is the biggest spender in US history!

The brown clown doubled the national debt it in 8 years.

Sorry.

No spin can change that. It's an historical fact.

Obama is a failure.

But the conservatives fail to notice this recurring pattern, and cling tightly to the fantasy that the Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility.
