Marc Molinero is an A+ candidate recruited to flip New York's 19th Congressional District in today's special election. Every poll had him up and conventional wisdom among both parties was that he was going to win it handily. It turns out he lost tonight by about two points.

This is the third special election for Congress since the Dobbs decision came out and in every one of them Democrats have overperformed expectations. The MN-01 and NE-01 special elections were expected to be blow outs for the Republicans. They barely won both of them by the skin of their teeth and tonight they failed to flip NY-19.

It would seem that conservatives "Leroy Jenkinsed" their red wave because they just can't stay out of other people's bedrooms. They'll still likely take the House, but by a much smaller majority than they would have and they can probably kiss the Senate goodbye at this point.

I don't give two craps what people do in their bedrooms, and frankly don't want to know. Unless they're killing their own unborn babies in their bedrooms for some reason. Are they doing that?

That's for starters.

For enders, only in 21st century, post-journalism America can Republicans win 2 of 3 special elections and this is a loss--and oh noes, bigger losses ahead.

I'll bet the Democrat took the mail in vote, right? Who'd a'thunk it?

Yea, pretty scary people are so stupid they continue to vote for Dems. If our country is obsessed with wanting to murder babies then it will be the end of us.

Yep... if that's true then the country DESERVES to burn. The innocent will suffer but, they always do, anyway. If harsh judgment ever falls on America, we have no one to blame but ourselves. The fools here who seem to be hoping for it just so they can say they "won", will suffer just as much as the rest of us... maybe more.

Hiring some butcher for hire at some abortion mill to kill another human being isn’t just “other people’s bedrooms.”

DeSantis-backed candidates flip Florida school board from liberal to conservative

August 23, 2022

Conservatives across the state of Florida celebrated on Tuesday night after control of the Sarasota County School Board shifted from liberal to conservative.
Bridget Ziegler, Robyn Marinelli, and Timothy Enos were all endorsed by Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and were all victorious Tuesday night in their elections for the Sarasota School board.
Various conservatives in the state touted the victories and suggested they represented a shift against Critical Race Theory and other “woke” policies that DeSantis and Republicans in Florida have railed against.
“Sarasota School Board had a 3-2 liberal majority,” Christina Pushaw, rapid response director for DeSantis’s reelection campaign, tweeted on Tuesday night. “Today @RonDeSantisFL endorsed candidates won and flipped the school board so it’s now 4-1 anti wokes indoctrination and pro parental rights.”

You can find the other couple yourself.....Put in some work for a change.

I don't expect NY to be any different from CA.
They have rigged the system and made it next to impossible for a fair election to take place.
Even Newsmax is acting like this is a surprise....which it isn't.

After all.....New York elected this dumb-ass to office.

Clearly New Yorkers love living in a 3rd world shithole.

so the gop winning two elections and failing to flip a seat is good news for the dems? it’s like when you al started believing 9.1 percent inflation was good

I think most of you missed the point Taz was expressing and that is those two candidates that won should have won by larger margins and didn’t and Taz question is did the court ruling cost the Republicans votes and could the red wave be DOA in November?

no the red wads is going to be there, abortion is far less important to people the. the horrible economy the dems have created

I truly believe you will be disappointed when you discover the Democrats gain seats in the Senate this November.

I am even questioning if the GOP take the House and if they fail to do so who do you blame?

The point Taz was making the Red Wave should have won those seats by larger amounts and lost a contest that they should have won, so the wave is weak and may not be there.

As you stated the economy is a major issue but all the Democrats need is to keep GOP voters home this November and if they do then your red wave will have been a fake wave.
