Republicans Mock, "It's the Russians!!!" Well Yeah, Actually It Is.

This wasn't an either/or situation. You didn't have to elect Trump in the Primaries to run against Clinton. You could have had REAL candidates like Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, or Bush.
You want a great example of propaganda? Your propaganda that Republicans are racists and by inference Democrats are not. That's propaganda. First of all there is a distribution of degree. Secondly, we would expect this distribution to exist across all groups regardless of party, race or creed. And lastly the fallacy of your propaganda is that today I could be a Republican - and therefore racist - and tomorrow I could switch parties and not be a racist but in reality I am the exact same person on both days. The reality is that history has recorded the Democratic Party as the party of slavery, racism and segregation and the Republican Party as the party which ended slavery, racism and segregation. I suspect your propaganda is born out of the need rationalize your political heritage and use the lie for political gain. That or you are truly ignorant of your party's racist heritage. Either way... it is a textbook example of propaganda.

I don't call ALL Republicans racist. So you have lost the argument there and I won't read the rest. I call people that make racist remarks and have racist agendas racist.

The comment you just made IS propaganda because someone new to this forum that reads your post without reading any of mine...will think I call everyone racist, which I do not.
I don't see you making that distinction in your signature. I'm pretty sure they will figure that out without reading my last comment.

You don't see the distinction? It's because all the Republicans on this board attack everyone that calls an individual a racist by saying they call EVERYONE racist that is a Republican. I'm pointing out that a Republican IS making a racist statement, and that's why some Republicans get called racist.
Your signature doesn't say some Republicans.

Yeah..because I'm talking to ALL the Republicans on here that complain about people calling Republican posters racist. Jesus dude? Are you one of those idiot savants that can't understand basic things but you can count 2,000 toothpicks in 3 seconds?

All election cycle people have been pointing out how so many fake news stories have been coming out of the media... and many anti-Trump people have blamed it on the Russians only to be mocked by his supporters. Well it is time to reap what you sow, because independent reports are coming out to show just how gullible you were. It WAS the Russians, and all their fake news stories were to help Trump get elected. Not just opinions, they have traced the sites, the tweets, etc. to Russia.

Russian propaganda effort helped spread ‘fake news’ during election, experts say

is THE WASHINGTON POST----the best you can do------it is a propaganda toilet rag

You can't refute the points they are making with their sources... so you attack the paper.

Funny you will do this with the Washington Post, but when people posted stuff from The Blaze or crap like that, that was Pro-Trump, you're all over it agreeing with everything it says and liking every pro-Trump post.

Do you NOT see the problem with that?

I have never read "the blaze" and, CERTAINLY, did not critique it-----I do not remember being "all over" THE BLAZE-----it
it published something with which I agree----that fact is not MY ENDORSEMENT of the paper itself. Do you see something wrong with YUU?

Yeah because I said, The Blaze or crap like that."

Refute what? They're simply making claims that these websites work for Putin with no evidence.

No they aren't. Read the article and learn what they are doing and what is in their report or :anj_stfu:

Russian propaganda effort helped spread ‘fake news’ during election, experts say
How gullible are you? Who are these experts? How did they "trace" these tweets or websites?

The Washington Post on Thursday night promoted the claims of a new, shadowy organization that smears dozens of U.S. news sites that are critical of U.S. foreign policy as being “routine peddlers of Russian propaganda.” The article by reporter Craig Timberg – headlined “Russian propaganda effort helped spread ‘fake news’ during election, experts say” – cites a report by a new, anonymous website calling itself “PropOrNot,” which claims that millions of Americans have been deceived this year in a massive Russian “misinformation campaign.”

The group’s list of Russian disinformation outlets includes WikiLeaks and the Drudge Report, as well as Clinton-critical left-wing websites such as Truthout, Black Agenda Report, Truthdig and Naked Capitalism, as well as libertarian venues such as Antiwar.com and the Ron Paul Institute.

This Post report was one of the most widely circulated political news articles on social media over the last 48 hours, with dozens, perhaps hundreds, of U.S. journalists and pundits with large platforms hailing it as an earth-shattering exposé. It was the most-read piece on the entire Post website after it was published on Friday.

Yet the article is rife with obviously reckless and unproven allegations, and fundamentally shaped by shoddy, slothful journalistic tactics. It was not surprising to learn that, as BuzzFeed’s Sheera Frenkel noted, “a lot of reporters passed on this story.” Its huge flaws are self-evident. But the Post gleefully ran with it and then promoted it aggressively, led by its Executive Editor Marty Baron:

Washington Post Disgracefully Promotes a McCarthyite Blacklist From a New, Hidden, and Very Shady Group

Who are the experts? Did you read the article? It tells you who they are...

The Washington Post? Fake news spreading fake news....precious....

Fake News reporting on independent studies by multiple organizations... brilliant! You can't attack the information so you attack the source.
"PropOrNot" is suddenly multiple organizations? Many of the organizations they claimed to be "allied" with came out and said they'd never heard of them.

You obviously didn't read the article...it says there is more than one report.

Two teams of independent researchers found that the Russians exploited American-made technology platforms to attack U.S. democracy at a particularly vulnerable moment, as an insurgent candidate harnessed a wide range of grievances to claim the White House.

Watts’s report on this work, with colleagues Andrew Weisburd and J.M. Berger, appeared on the national security online magazine War on the Rocks this month under the headline “Trolling for Trump: How Russia Is Trying to Destroy Our Democracy.Another group, called PropOrNot, a nonpartisan collection of researchers with foreign policy, military and technology backgrounds, planned to release its own findings Friday showing the startling reach and effectiveness of Russian propaganda campaigns.

If I had a dollar for every person on this forum that responded to a post about an article without actually reading the article...I'd be able to rent a floor at Trump Tower for a day.
It appears that you didn't read the article, since the War on the Rocks piece is from November 6th and gives no evidence that Russia is doing any such thing. Like all claims that Russia hacked the DNC, the Clinton campaign's emails, or the election it rests on anonymous evidence-free claims from "experts" and "officials." Unfortunately, that doesn't constitute evidence.

No if you read the article you would have easily seen that the main report the article is even written about is from the group, Foreign Policy Research Institute, and PropOrNot is a secondary source. You would have also read:

The researchers used Internet analytics tools to trace the origins of particular tweets and mapped the connections among social-media accounts that consistently delivered synchronized messages. Identifying website codes sometimes revealed common ownership. In other cases, exact phrases or sentences were echoed by sites and social-media accounts in rapid succession, signaling membership in connected networks controlled by a single entity.

And you would have read this part about how this type of activity had already been studied by others:

The findings about the mechanics of Russian propaganda operations largely track previous research by the Rand Corp. and George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.

So, either you DIDN'T read the article...or you are just ignoring the facts in it.
