Republicans Represent America And Obama Represents It's Victims

The original poster sums up just what is wrong with the political system in the USA. Its this attitude of you must see the World from my point of view or your view is totally wrong. There is no respect for an alternative view, for Americans aswell as Europeans we should be concentrating on those things that bring us together and not divide us, I have absolutely no problems with fiscal conservatives, no problem with big business, no problem with capitalism because even me a hardened liberal realize that its not great but having looked at all the other possibilities its the best of a bad bunch of alternatives.

We had a great series over here on the BBC talking about Communism, Marxism, Capitalism etc and its a shame this wasn't shown on your networks, it was an unbiased documentary, it addressed many of the issues that seem to really polarize your political and media discourse.

I think we have to be realists here, capitalism does have benefits but the key thing which I thing goes to the heart of the US polarization on this is what form this takes. What is wrong with capitalism with a dash of socialism and a bit of compassion and humanity, it doesn't have to be an either or you can have the best of both Worlds.

I think Americans people have to ask themselves what sort of country do they want for their children and grandchildren, what is wrong with some fiscal conservatism that still leaves a safety net for people, this is what really becomes bizarre for us in the UK to understand, we know that Americans are much more religious than here in Europe so we simply can't understand some of the GOP policies which IMO are anti-Christian, at times just down right cruel and inhumane.

Theres nothing wrong with people taking personal responsibility but also sometimes people through no fault of their own fall on hard times, we think its never going to happen to us but it does, even GOP supporters need help sometime, even the TP voters might need this!

So in answer to the original poster no I don't buy this, Obama is not a Commie, or Socialist, he's a Capitalist but believes in a more humane and moral type of capitalism, certainly I think many Americans would rather have the best of both Worlds rather than a rich has everything whilst everyone else gets shafted, the GOP IMO don't represent America, they represent a slide into a type of Capitalism that seeks to divide people, a country where compassion and humanity disappear to be met with a new type of "normal", this normal being the very worst type of capitalism.

Good post. Everything you said was close, but no cigar. Obama doesn't have good intentions.

Problem being he's trying to replace what works with something that doesn't work.

People look at One Man and make all kinds of claims about him with few of them being accurate.

Want to judge obama? Look at who he hires.

Look at Van Jones, a MEMBER of the Communist Party USA.

Look at Carol Browner, an Executive Board Member of Socialists International.

Look at all the Czars he hired... Answerable to no one, not even Congress.

Look at who he hired for the Ed Dept. Look at who he hire at the EPA. Look at....

Look at who these people hire.

The rest of it is all bullshit. We can't prove the Stuttering Clusterfuck is a communist anymore than one of his knee-pad-wearing, knob-slurping worshipers can prove he isn't

Look at who he hires, who he appoints.

That will tell you all you need to know

I spent 4 years in collège, 8 years as a union member, yet I never fell for the BS Jake fell for.

Another fucking whiny ass thread from a right wing loser. How much whining can a political party DO? Evidently a lot. That's just about ALL they do now.

Obama called us names. WAH. To bad. Obama won't negotiate WAH. Obama learned his lesson last time trying to negotiate with the Tbagger assholes. Really pisses you off he learned from his past mistakes. WAH. Keep whining.
Your post is nothing but a whine. You can't admit that Obama is a socialist; hater :eusa_whistle:

Half the country now thinks they can make the other half pay for everything they ever wanted and they elected "Deal Leader" to make it happen. As long as the progressives can buy the votes we are going to get socialism until we revolt.

I thought that little charade by Cruz and the GOP was a revolt. What did it get the GOP?

Nada!

It let's people know where they stand.

The worst thing that can happen to Obamacare is it goes into effect and everyone finds out what's in it.

If its that bad, the votes will easily be there to amend the law. And that would tell a rational person that Cruz and Lee's little hissy fit had nothing to do with healthcare or debt.

Oh, and concessions were made by Democrats.

They just want to keep quiet about that.

Yes, and it will work against them. The polls show that the majority of Americans think the GOP is mostly to blame - it isn't good for the party.

About Obamacare, if it was as bad as Ted Cruz claims, he would have done better to let it go into effect and let people find out, instead, people are mad because he has caused a lot of unnecessary pain.

George Will, my conservative beau ideal, called "the silent artillery of time" in Lincoln's phrase, the best way to handle the ACA: let it go into effect.

If it works, we sneak away.

If it screwed up, we cleaned up.

But the silly TeaPs screwed all that up.

Backwards, as usual.

The TPM hates the cultural and demographic changes in American culture.

We are not going backwards.

Incoherent, as usual.

So there are cultural changes in American culture? Thank you for pointing that out.

You are not going backwards - or anywhere much.

So progress to you is one invented crisis after another?

Pull the other leg.

Not to worry, Mud. The crisis will be over, you will get your military retirement pay and your contractor pay with the gubmint.

You will be OK.

This is how Republicans see America:

On one side:

Blacks
Asians
Whites
athiest
religious
men
women
young
old
rich
poor
straight
liberal
conservative
gays
lesbians
feminists
college professors

On the other side:
white
Christians

So tell me again.
Which side represents America?

All of the above.

Probably not the answer he was looking for. :D

Actually, it's slightly more complex. If you are the average Republican, then I hit the nail on the head. If you are a "Romney" Republican, then you need to figure out the make up of the 47% he said he wouldn't represent.

I suspect he would welcome liberal and Democratic millionaires and billionaires. But not poor Republicans and lower middle class. Remember, Romney said he wanted to bring immigrants here who already had degrees and help them start companies but cut teachers in this country. So there would be a lot more whites among those Romney wouldn't represent.

It let their constituents know that their representatives are doing their job and representing their interests.......unlike Harry and Barry who will tell you what they want for you.

You're an average Democrat because you have your head up your ass all the time.

Representing their constituents interests is ... getting NOTHING? Damn.

This is the political equivalent of giving a "worlds best dad" mug.

lol @ Repubs represent America. I bet you typed that wearing your Larry Craig PJ's with the footies

Obama apologized to the world and claimed America wronged practically everyone.

What makes you think he has America's best interests in mind?

Note to GOP speechwriters and campaign ad makers: The apology tour never happened.

Four Pinocchios

Fact Checker - Obama's 'Apology Tour'

Sorry, I saw the speeches live.

Epic Fail.

Fighting against it proved the GOP doesn't agree with it.

It keeps the Dems from blaming it on them.

What was your MOS?

Mine was 11B4S

What was yours, bitch

11 Bang Bang.

I was an 18E

Yeah, commo guys are a trip. My bestest buddy from the Team was commo.

You guys could be annoying in the Fayetteville Drive In sometimes.

They'd sit there and beep their horns in Morse Code at each other.

A bunch of us got dropped into that damned Drive In one time in a night drop. Air Force Reserves. They claimed it really did look like a DZ.

I wonder about that sometimes.

Must have been during my team time. They don't even know much when it comes to code these days. Everything is digital burst and microwaves. HF is a thing of the past.

You are a 26 year old who is not a man of the sword. You do not want to go there.

I will not tolerate whining from Mud because vilifies the government that feeds him for decades.

I will not tolerate nonsense from the likes of Mud and 007, both who know fully why that is so.

Rant all you want. None of it changes the truth at all.

And a true man never forgets.

If you wish to denigrate a fellow poster do him the honour of getting your facts right.

Mud was not "fed by the government" but by taxpayers. (As was I when in the Royal Navy). You see, governments don't have any money of their own, just what they seize by force from the citizenry.
