Actually President Trump won tonight's election by proxy: During the 2018 midterm elections, 9 out of 11 Senate candidates where Trump campaigned and rallied for, won.

The Democrats have blithely fooled themselves into believing the power shift in the House was some kind of "referendum" on the Trump agenda, but it wasn't. The GOP lost the House only because President Trump couldn't be in 435 places at once.

Had he been able to rally for those Republicans running for Congress, Nancy Pelosi would not be the Speaker right now, the House would be under GOP control, and President Trump's great agenda would be even farther down the road than it has been with an obstructive do-nothing House.

That is the awesome power of Donald J. Trump. The Democrats fatally underestimated the man back in 2016, and they continue to do that today.

Of course, the District 3 race, Republican Murphy won with a 25 point lead.
