Look at her chin. Darrel is only half female.

Well there's an alternate plan that takes the pipeline away from water supplies that people feel are threatened that the protesters are okay with and could have been built by now, but the oil company doesn't want to do it. Why do they hate the environment?

Here's a map of the pipelines we already have....how can any of them avoid being near water?

By making a route that avoids being near major water aupplies. Obviously.

Neil Young again? First of all the pipeline isn't on "Native American land" and second it seems that the oil will be coming from Young's native land of Canada and he isn't protesting against Canada. It should be noted that Young's (drunken?) tirade against the American South inspired a group named Linyard Skynyard to come up with one of the greatest songs in modern pop history, "Sweet Home Alabama". Young don't know shit. He is just an elitist (rich) leftie trying to reignite a dying career.

great song

Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think it's a sin, yes

Well I heard Mr Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don't need him around anyhow

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

In Birmingham they love the governor
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Here I come Alabama

Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers
And they've been known to pick a song or two
Lord they get me off so much
They pick me up when I'm feeling blue
Now how about you?

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

Sweet home Alabama
Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue
And the governor's true
Sweet Home Alabama
Lordy
Lord, I'm coming home to you

This is a pipeline to carry light sweet crude oil from the Bakken formation in N.Dakota. Not the tar sand slurry from Canada. That will be coming when the Groper Elect approves that leg of the Keystone system.

"the groper-elect"? I wouldn't call Bakken oil "light sweet crude" but you're right, it ain't that slurry from Canuckistan.

Here ya go.

North Dakota Petroleum Council - Bakken Crude Properties

The key findings were as follows:

  • Bakken crude is a light sweet crude oil with an API gravity generally between 40° and 43° and a sulfur content <0.2 wt.%. As such, it is similar to many other light sweet crude oils produced and transported in the United States.

Well, it ain't Texas light sweet and nowhere near as sweet as what the Saudis pull up, but fine by me if they call it that. The good news is that there is now a field in the Permian Basin in Texas that's said to dwarf Bakken...the bad news is I lost 5 wells I inherited there when the Texas Railroad Commission demanded I pay PROPERTY taxes on the land when all I had were mineral rights so I told them to ESAD and they sold my wells.

His opinions are no more valid than yours or mine. But at least he cares about something. That has to be respected surely ?

He doesn't give a shit about those protestors or he'd be up there with them instead of hanging out In Laurel Canyon....typical show-biz fake.
