Rolling Stone won't fire anyone because the bottom line is that they're not sorry they published the story...they're only sorry that they were exposed as the "anti" journalists that they are. This kind of story is what you end up with when you start off with a premise and then alter the facts to fit your world view.

What bothers me about this story, is the concern for the woman that lied about the rape. And the disregard for the men she smeared. She should be going to jail for filing a false police report. Instead, her identity is being kept secret.

The original story is what made it "political" you putz! You had an activist writer with an agenda. She wrote a story based not on the facts but on that agenda. Rolling Stone took her story and ran it without fact checking it because it corresponded so closely with what THEY believed to be true!
