Romney: 'I wish I were there' as fiscal standoff continues - First Read

“I look at what’s happening right now -- I wish I were there,” Romney told Chris Wallace, in a taping conducted last week in California. “It kills me not to be there, not to be in the White House doing what needs to be done.”

Romney criticized President Obama’s handling of the budget showdown engulfing Washington, saying, “We don’t have to have gridlock settings one after the other, on issue after issue.”

-----------------------------------------------------
Romney forgot to finish his thought. I'm white. Republicans would have worked with me. To help redistribute the rest of the wealth of the nation to the top 1% where it belongs.

Assuming (for one nanosecond) that you are serious, please expound on your racial theory of economics and explain how interest payments on a $20 trillion national debt will benefit minorities.

Romney should have finished his thought. I don't hate this country nor want to punish the people. Americans would have worked with me.

For wingers like you who encourage their team to be as childish, difficult and unreasonable as possible, this isn't too surprising.

Yeah. I wish we had a competent leader who understands how to budget too. Instead we have a man trying to avoid leadership and spending us into oblivion. Oh well, we get what we deserve.

I bet there are a lot of people who are wishing they had voted for Romney instead of oBozo. Romney probably would've had both the sequester talks and debt ceiling legislation done and Congress would be able to move on to something else.

Well, had Mitt run on actually compromising on taxes, doing immigration reform, finding a way for Americans to buy health insurance with something other than just their own paychecks, and getting govt out of deciding what specific coverage everyone needed, finding a way for same sex couples to have the same legal advantages of marriage as stratight folks have ... he might have won.

Of course he'd never have been nominated.

no, he is not there and rather than working with the Administration as he claims would be appropriate for Obama and the Republicans he instead criticizes the Administration in exactly the same manor he is saying is inappropriate ... typical Republican.

What is it with the left? They can't seem to be energized with Hussein's victory so they have to go back to hate speech against the loser to fuel their insanity.

At this point a cocker spaniel could do a better job of running the country than obama.

What interest payments? Did you think Bush and the Republicans thought about interest payments when they used reconciliation three times to create the debt and move the wealth of the nation to the top 1%?

Obama bragged during the debates that the sequester wouldn't happen.
He's gone "campaigning" to try and convince the public that the cut to the rate of spending would cause huge hardship and send the country into a recession; many of his claims are just drama and mainly untrue...for which he and Arne Duncan received four pinochios. Janet Napolatano also claims that major airports were already experiencing delays....also untrue.

I wish Romney were the president.

Romney admitted in his interview with Chris Wallace that no one cares too much about his comments from the sidelines; but he can't be silent because he still cares about America.

Romney had no real interest in politics or power; he just wanted to be president to get the country back on the road to prosperity.

Instead we have a president determined to "remake America" by following the failed policies of European socialism. Obama does not care about America.

And remember, you would have won if your fellow repub chris christie hadn't stabbed you in the back a week before the election when he went on TV and lied about how much obozo was helping him handle hurricane sandy. He wants to run for prez in 2016 and betrayed the GOP.
