Exclusive: Russia Will Sanction U.S. Senators - The Daily Beast
This is funnier than the US placing sanctions on Russian and Ukranian officials. Its like a tit for tat game.

There is humor in everything...but there is little humor in re-establishing the cold war. Which is exactly what is happening now.

Well no..not really.
Russia has very little clout on the international stage, economically.
The US however..is a major player.
China is an even bigger player and is allies with Russia.

True, but we have no backbone. (not just under Obama, for a long time now)
America notoriously acts outside of it's best interest internationally. In some respects we are like Saudi Arabia, we give money/favors to both sides trying to appease everyone.
Russia/China/Sweden/France is the alternative source for weaponry if you can't get it from America. China is an alternate source for purchasing natural resources if America won't.
The have options.
Russia/China will act in their best interest. We don't.

Well it's not that at all.
What we have is a Democracy. And like it or not, things move really slow in a Democracy.
There are a lot of different forces at play within our country.
That's not true of Russia. Or China. Or Saudi Arabia.
They are top down governments. What the top says..the bottom does.
They can move quickly on whatever their leaders say to do.
