That university's decision is an example of genuine racism.
It is telling African Americans that they are incapable of speaking standard English.
It is an insult to many African Americans whose English is better than that of many Caucasians.
"better" is a Caucasian construct specifically created to show White Supremacy.

Thank you for your opinion.
I respectfully disagree.
For example, it is better to say "Mona likes ice cream" than "Mona like ice cream."
It has nothing to do with "White Supremacy." Using the "s" for the third person is just how the majority of English speakers have agreed to speak present-day English.
It is patronizing -- in the opinion of many people -- to say, "Of course, some folks cannot learn standard English, so let's excuse them from meeting certain standards." In fact, it's racist!
Yeah, well, that's because there are hundreds of millions of Caucasians that don't speak English at all.It is an insult to many African Americans whose English is better than that of many Caucasians.

Have a nice day!
"Mona likes ice cream" is correct. However "Shakira like ice cream" is now too. That university's decision is an example of genuine racism.

The left perpetuating the myth that black Americans are still oppressed so they will be easier to manipulate. We have to ax ourselves where this is going. Hasn't America dumbed down enough?:
Rutgers University will deemphasize the use of traditional grammar in an attempt to stand in 'solidarity with Black Lives Matter'; reaction from Dr. Carol Swain, author and former professor at Princeton and Vanderbilt Universities.
