San Bern shooters used legally purchased guns, but...
... 'assault weapons' are banned in CA.

How were these guns legal?
How would banning 'assault weapons', as suggested today by the White House, when they are already illegal stop this incident?

has anyone seen the magazines

all the pictures i have seen

show the rifles pistols and ammunition

but no magazines

why is that

also are those long rifles CA legal

They were "CA compliant" when they were purchased, but they were modified.
Ah.
So the guns, originally not 'assault weapons', were purchased legally, but then illegally modified into 'assault weapons'
Pretty sure this won't make the news.

You seem to be very hung up on the words "assault rifle".

The guns were modified to remove California's weird mandated magazine lock - both guns used, even with their modifications, would have been completely legal in any state other than California

Another example of your ignorance and/or dishonesty.
You have no idea if those guns are 'assault weapons' or not

Those weapons weren't legal. They were full-auto.....banned as far as I know.
NFA weapons are indeed illgeal in CA.
I did not hear that they were full-auto, however.
From listening to witnesses....they heard rapid gunfire....which usually means full-auto.

Plenty of information about the weapons used has been released. None of the 4 guns used was "full auto". Use your Google.

I haven't used the words 'assault rifle'.
The guns were modified to remove California's weird mandated magazine lock
Yes, These rifles, when purchased, had fixed magazines, and thus were not 'assault weapons'
Once modified, they had detachable magazines, and thus illegal 'assault weapons' under CA law.

Again: betting you wont hear this in the news.

Assault rifles cannot legally be given/transferred to another owner in Ca. Also, from the huff-

The rifles were both illegally modified, Meredith Davis, a spokeswoman for the ATF, told The Huffington Post on Friday.

It's already all over the news.

Where did they get the parts to modify them?

Probably legally purchased also. If they were modified to only hold one magazine and not take it out that would require removing something not adding something.

I'd rather Bing.

Btw, all the lies coming out of this administration leads me not to trust anything unless it's under oath....and not even then sometimes.

You'll have to excuse Ravi -- all that is way above his pay grade.

Link showing they are banned? Oh right, you have no clue, of course.

In California you can't legally have any clips in excess of ten rounds maximum. So, they were clearly in violation. One news report said they had 4,500 rounds between the three shooters plus pipe bombs which are also illegal in California.
So, a bunch of those guns on the wall of this CA gun shop are illegal to sell there? Do tell?
You are shockingly ignorant. Clearly you don't know what is and isn't an assault rifle. Here's a hint... it has nothing to do with how it looks asthetically.

The modifications they did involve removing parts, not adding new parts.
