Again...........................I encourage you all on this thread to look at the pictures that have been posted showing farmer's markets..........

They all show one similarity. None of them are showing any kind of permanent buildings, they are all booths that can easily be set up and taken down.

All the farmers markets that I have been to were in empty parking lots or were in fields. They would come in on Friday and set up, sell stuff on Saturday and Sunday, and break down their booths Sunday night, leaving an empty field or parking lot.

How is that "gentrification"? And..............if there are no permanent structures built or left, how is that "taking over"?

thats a great question, because farmers markets are an answer to corporate farms. the one i go to in San Rafael CA, is always a blast to go to, small farmers from all over N. California, food you just cant find in stores, plus vendors who make their own craft products, cooked food vendors, people who are all different races and ethnicities, people just having a good time with each other. What is the matter with some of these Academia Prunes of a human being? why cant they ever lighten the fuck up, and let people live?
