Preparing all individuals for the university is a waste of human resources. The big fear is a return to tracking---which was decided by the school. The way around that is for the parent's involvement. Secondly, for significant change there needs to be significant back tracking on inclusion.

I looked at your link. No, I did not read this before. I can't say I agree with what I read there.

But I stated my opinion. That is that everyone is not college material, but everyone needs to be taught how to make a living for themselves. And they have an inherent right for that.

It's mainstreaming special education students. Some can work and some will never work. Ever. Some are behavioral special education students. Both are mainstreamed as a cost cutting measure.

But we agree for the most part.

Person A has little education, makes $30k a year and pays little to no taxes. Person A then gets some education and makes $55k a year and pays more taxes. Over person A's lifetime he pays back more in taxes than the government paid in education assistance for him. It is called investing in America. Radical, I know.

With everyone getting an education, there is no real investment. Who is to say the 30k decides even with his education, he prefers 30k.

I have a problem with those who think they are owed something. Not everyone using social welfare is a leech. Some use it the way the system is designed and are very grateful they receive what they get due to circumstances for which they weren't the cause. As for those who made decisions in life that produced the results they demand the rest of us offset, I have a problem.

More word salad designed to confuse the uninformed, Bernie would be more accurate to characterize those countries he says he admires as "Nordic Capitalism" (the democracy part is completely non sequitur to the economic system being described) since their economic systems bear little resemblance to anything that fits the actual meaning of the word socialism. Personally my take away from what Bernie says he wants is that he's an admirer of fascism since like fascism he appears to want tight government CONTROL of private enterprise without the government ownership and he wants the gigantic welfare state so popular with 20th century fascists.
