Schools Allow Only The Liberal Side...

"...science has proven Genesis to be scientifically accurate, like you once claimed on this board."

I don't claim......I teach.

Of course, there are disreputable 'students' such as you, who will twist what has been said.

Let's clear that up:
As per Dr. Andrew Palmer, Oxford biologist, whose book, "The Genesis Enigma," states that the writer of the book of Genesis provides an uncannily similar synopsis of the events in the creation as compared to that accepted by modern science.

I don't mind correcting your misstatements.....but do try to be more honest.

Shall I dredge up your thread?

I object to the pejorative 'dredge'!!!

Memorialize would be more accurate.

And be sure you don't leave out references to Dr. Palmer's thesis.

There is nothing 'uncannily similar' to science in the Genesis myth.

'Warrants further investigation' does not mean the student is absolutely correct.

".... absolutely correct."

I see you've found a new way to say 'I surrender.'

Nothing in your post either stated or implied that the student was absolutely correct, so why would you conclude that?

All you people had to have done, instead of immediately assuming that the student's accusation's were entirely factual,

(unlike your assumptions about Anita Hill's accusations, as I pointed out)

was to have offered a simple concession of 'if'. 'If' they are true, 'if' he is right.

The thread is a complaint about partisan bias, and yet, every conservative who came into the thread engaged in the partisan bias of assuming, without proof, that the story was absolutely true and the charges needed no proof to be assumed true;

you all committed the very wrong you were attacking.

False an disingenuous.......as usual.

I do find it ironic that PC is using a link from the liberal media to rail against liberals. Or is it only the liberal media when they publish a story that doesnt agree with your narrative?

1. "... to rail against liberals."

I rail against censorship and indoctrination....but I must agree that those offenses are synonymous with 'liberals.'

2. The irony here is that you have not taken a position re: censorship and indoctrination, but see the opportunity to make this about me.

(I really don't mind that, I am my favorite topic.)

This was discussed earlier, or more precisely I tried to discuss it with your pals and they all ran away from it.

Should the courts have the power to dictate to the school boards how their filters should operate?

Or should the school boards be left to manage the internet in their schools as they see fit?

Where should the power of that decision lie?

To you, an accusation is the same as a conviction...

Should I wait for you to provide evidence to the contrary, or should I plan on having a future?

One data point. Really? This is a piss poor thread even for PC. The conclusion drawn and thanked by some really dumb people is tantamount to dropping a helium balloon off a ten story building and concluding gravity doesn't exist.

Inquiring minds want to know, were these sources of conservative web sites blocked before the accuser sat down at the computer? Are all computers within the school system effected in this same manner? Is someone in IT at the school or district office a right wing hack who decided to create a sensation to embarrass the school/district?

False and ignorant....as usual.

Well if you believe that Genesis is as scientifically sound as what science actually teaches us,
then you must disagree with this decision:

Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District

Link: Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Summarized here:

The ruling concluded that intelligent design is not science, and permanently barred the board from "maintaining the ID Policy in any school within the Dover Area School District, from requiring teachers to denigrate or disparage the scientific theory of evolution, and from requiring teachers to refer to a religious, alternative theory known as ID."[

Translation: "I'm a Liberal and she skewered us again!!!"

The usual attempt to defend an indefensible position.

I expect no more from one of your ability: If your brain exploded, it wouldn't even mess up your hair.

I haven’t seen such contortions since you gave birth to yourself.

Stop begging.

Folks recognize you for the drooling oaf that you are.

Ummm...it's far more "big central government" to decide which ideas are allowed and which are forbidden. Progressives love that shit.

For the life of me, I can't understand why you consider yourself intelligent.

Once again, you snipe while concealing your own position, which means of course that your position is that big government should rule in this case,

but only because you think you'd like the outcome.
You pretty much suck at this.

No Big Brother Progressive government intervention is required (although to be accurate, a Big Brother Progressive government would shut down conservative web sites and execute their owners).

All that's required is angry parents who don't accept the asinine prog notion that progs can raise their children better than their parents.

You suffer from a common prog failing: Believing that elected officials have a blank check to do whatever they want, and are not accountable to the people they work for.
I'm guessing you weren't quite as pleased with outcome in Kitzmiller v. Dover.
Unsurprisingly, you guess wrong. Schools should teach science; parents, homeschoolers, and churches can teach creationism if they choose -- if progressives don't outlaw it. It would be Thoughtcrime, of course.

So, it looks like you've struck out. Now will you tell us why you oppose children being exposed to all views? It's because you believe they'll choose the wrong ideas, isn't it?

First you say that 'Big Brother' isn't needed, then you agree with Big Brother forcing the Dover school district to stop requiring the teaching of intelligent design as science.

Which is it?

Who should be able to decide what the school can teach? The school district itself, with its school board elected by those parents, and others, you referred to,

or should the federal government, through the courts and/or federal law?

Was the Court right or not? Isn't it odd that I can always back you into a position where you cannot answer a straightforward question?

Why do you suppose that is?

You seem like nothing so much as the kite that thought it ruled the wind.

I've already posted a link showing the district superintendent confirms it.

You (purposefully) ignored it.

He did not confirm the veracity of the specific items of the kid's accusations. I tried to explain the filter programs, or was going to,

but the profound lack of interest from you people of actually learning something was sufficient to deter me.

And that is the problem for teachers in schools today. Can you imagine the science teacher who has a right wingers kids in his class. Little Tommy informs the teacher that man walked with dinosaurs. And the teacher tries to educate little Tommy. But Tommy isn't interested in being educated. He is the child of a right winger who has been told repeatedly that the teachers don't know what they are doing. That God will provide and learning any thing other than what right wingers Mommy and Daddy tell him is wrong.

Pity the poor teacher who has a rabid right wingers kid in their class. No wonder the teachers want to block access to the crazy shit the right wingers believe.

But one thing for sure. If the right wingers on here have kids, it is almost a sure bet that those kids are going to be as fucked up as you crazy right wingers on here.

I mean can anyone imagine that crazy Daveman teaching his kid to "shoot with your" whatever the fuck that quote goes on about.

Davey, did you know that Stephen King hates the Republican party? Supports Dems. That's some funny shit. You worshiping the words of a Democrat supporter.
My goodness, you're a bizarre little person.

I don't care about King's politics. I enjoy his work. And worshiping his words? No. Nothing of man is worthy of worship (sorry to break that to you. You probably ought to blow out the candles on your Obama shrine).

You absolutely HATE it that conservatives are allowed to have their own views. I'm curious -- would you try to send us to re-education camps first, or straight to the ovens? Because the ultimate progressive response to dissent is violence. Always. History has shown this again and again. REAL history, not the whitewashed bullshit proglodytes insist is history.

Camps or ovens? Which is it, zeke?

Unless you can provide an alternative story, this is all we have. Discuss the facts in the story. DUH!!

The fact that matters is we have unsubstantiated hearsay from a high school kid which may or may not be factual.

Opinions you like can't be magically made into facts; you're not an alchemist.

No one in charge is saying that:

"The superintendent of Woodbury schools was notified by Lampart, but nothing was done to fix the problem after a week. He decided to take his concerns to the Board of Education on Monday.
“It’s not a joking matter in terms of having access to both sides of an issue,” Board Chairman John Chapman told WTIC.
“The Board appreciated hearing the comments from Andrew and agree that he has raised an important issue that warrants further investigation,” Chapman explained."

This suggests that the student is absolutely correct.

Time for you to retreat?

Like it or not, schools do block sites they deem inappropriate for kids, tough shit...if you don't like it....kids would be looking at porn every chance they could if they had access to it...even at school...but they can read on how to make an atom bomb...

You can run but you can't hide.

Stick to the truth: the student documented that it is political thought, not porn, that is being blocked.

And you say?

I thought you said it was the NRA site that was being blocked? Or is the NRA now a political thought company for right wingers?
The right to keep and bear arms is a political issue.

But keep flailing. You're funny, little man.

'Warrants further investigation' does not mean the student is absolutely correct.
Nor does it mean there's nothing there, as your side has insisted.

Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

You read too many fairy tales, Zeke.

I've never met any conservatives who teach their children what you say about men walking with dinosaurs.

On the other hand, what would be wrong with Little Tommy pointing out the numerous flaws in Darwin's theory?

You would't be afraid of that,....would you?

Do you teach your children that science has proven Genesis to be scientifically accurate, like you once claimed on this board?

When Tommy is taught that Darwin's theory is not a complete and perfect explanation,

would you also teach that by far it is the best explanation, and all other 'theories' have been rejected by science?

Your god Science is not infallible.
