I saw them and I also saw them ripped down and the soldier threatened with an article 15 if they saw it again. But there was never any hanging in plain sight in the day room, CQ, Tops or the commanders area...We did have a Coke machine that had beer in it for fifty cents..

Actually, MW, as a First Sergeant, I can say the only pictures allowed to be posted in my company area were the pictures of the chain-of-command from the Company CO up to POTUS. And posted in the COs office. Military posters from Post Publications were allowed in orderly rooms, mess halls, supply room, training room, etc but they had to pertain to the function of the place. Re-enlistment posters, safety posters and such. No porn pictures or pin-up girls in lockers. That's the rules. Obey them or die!

She was given a direct order and violated it. She wasn't court martialed for her religion. She was court martialed for not following a direct order. It sounds to me like she didn't handle the situation in the correct way. She should have went through the chain of command to find out why she wasn't allowed to post the verses at her work station... instead of violating the UCMJ.
