Senate Dems Crossover

I've never seen a government so in need of an enema.

Only a couple of more months and lets see what this new crew is made of. I'm going to hold on to faith for a little bit longer.

Hang in there, TD ... all is not lost. We still have good Scotch and cigars!

So it will never pass, dingbat.

"Pubs have blocked EVERYTHING since 2/4/2010- don't be duped...again.:eusa_whistle: Stimulus worked-ran out in 2010."

I just borrowed that from your sig line. It seems the lib Dems have been doing the blocking, eh?
Oh, and BTW, that pipeline will be built and much sooner rather than later.

Is that your way of defending our president's position on the pipeline and his incredibly vacuous claim that it would not lower gas prices for U.S. drivers but would allow Canada to "pump their oil, send it through our land, down to the Gulf, where it will be sold everywhere else."

You mean stuff that is pretty much true? There's very little economic benefit to average Americans for this, given the risks.

Harry Reid kept the legislative roach motel where bills (from the republican House majority) checked in but they didn't check out. Barry Hussein was free to campaign and play golf as long as Reid covered his incompetent ass. Now Barry Hussein needs to work for a living when republicans put a hundred bills on his desk.

Not really, the Democrats can still filibuster a lot of them.

I particularly enjoy the prospect of helping OPEC's fortunes decline. I vividly recall wasting my time waiting in gas lines during the 1973 oil embargo:

Except we didn't learn shit from that. We didn't say, "Let's build more fuel efficient cars, let's develop alternative energy sources, let's develop heating systems that are more efficient."

Nope.

We said, "Let's become more dependent on the middle east, let's build bigger cars that gobble up more gas."

Please provide a study of some kind that suggests the pipeline will lower gas prices in America.

Thanks.

Mary Landrieux said she was confidant she had 60 votes behind her. I wonder who the one Democrat turncoat is? It'll come out and I hope the rat is skinned.

Yeah, that's the first thing I thought when I saw this.

You know how the game is played in DC - You do this for me, I'll do that for you.

Someone must have come along with a better offer in the interim.

DC is about me, me, me. That's it.

That's funny LL. None of these dip shit Keystone lovers have any idea of how to prove what they say. But that won't stop them from saying it over and over and over.

But at least they support union jobs now. As long as those jobs are in the oil industry. Or defense. Maybe that's progress of some sort.

The heavy crude from Canada and North Dakota will replace much of the heavy crude presently being refined from Venezuela. It remains to be seen if that will affect gas prices, but it will help the US balance of payments.

Of course lf you prefer out money goes to support the jerks in Venezuela instead of our Canadian friends, just say so.

That's really convincing. You've given me reason to support the pipeline. Amazing.

I bet you mean "our Canadian friends" in the oil industry.
You do know that those regular Canadians are socialist. Right? Single payer health care. Unions. MW. All that support for working men and women. All that shit you Republicans hate.

But by God if a American oil company can profit from transporting that nasty tar sands oil, you love you some Canadians.

People like you will support anything as long as it makes the oil companies richer. Weird.

Glad you finally decided to support jobs in the US instead of in Venezuela. You do support US jobs, or don't you?
The Canadian oil is presently being transported to the gulf in trains and trucks. The State Department study said that there would be a 42% reduction in greenhouse emissions by transporting it in the Keytone pipeline.
You do support reducing greenhouse gases, or don't you?

The Canadian oil is presently being transported to refineries by rail and truck. The AFL-CIO supports the Keystone pipeline. If you prefer buying oil from Venezuela, and the middle eastern countries that hate the US, just say so.

There is nothing weird about any US company making a profit.

On edit: I can't speak for all Republicans as you seem to be able too, but since I was once a Shop Steward in a union it would be hard to say I was against unions. I am opposed to public sector unions, as are many Republicans.

This is what will happen: Obama will sign the pipeline bill if the Senate promises NOT to stop his executive order concerning illegal immigrant amnesty. Nothing happens by mistake. The media has purposely placed these two, key issues in the forefront for all to see. The GOP actually wants illegals to be "legalized" for cheap labor and for the fees and taxes they'll be able to collect as a result. And the shell game continues.
